@rsweekly There are lots of Koi in our river area ( which is the head waters to this long river) and they are just fancy carp and need to be kept in check somewhat before over populating being an exotic species in native fisheries, but I think they're pretty also. The Reel is called a Retreiver Pro ( a bottle reel) and is sold by MUZZY.com or AMS. Good Fishing!
That was in the Guadalupe River and it's a Koi. There are lots of them in there! I think it was from left over bait goldfish and floods washing out peoples water gardens up river. Mat shot @ 10 of them last week. All different colors and markings.
Darn good thing that fish was mounted for future prosperity. $8,000.00 huh? Sure wish I knew a buyer. One of our sons has shot over $100,000.00 worth. They are in the river here. Lots of them!
hell...i can probably get you a buyer. since i have friends in asia where they are sought after....i am sure to get someone interested....for a %%%:). the hard part is shipping it.
It's a CD package of Zydeco and Cajun Greats. Seems it's getting really hard to find music thats not owned by Warner Music Group and they don't like to share here on youtube, so I use different types of music when I need to.
we are going to maby go this sunday, depending on this new cold front and whatever that other thing is that is coming. but did u go in the river with those people, and if u did how low is it?
i bow fish at choak canyon and i have gotten one alligator gar and it was 5'2'' big and it tasted good. do yall fish in the river or in the lake? its ok if u dont tell me
Oh, we fish everywhere in that lake and river. It depends o the wind mostly, and how bad it is that day. Good to see you here! Maybe we'll meet on the lake sometime. I just had 4 new shooters there last Thursday and it was ROUGH.Whitecapin bad.
Dam straight! Git "Er Done! I haven't had so much fun in my life, till I turned redneck country folk, after living in the city all my life. Gotta love it! Keep Houston and I'll keep the country life, anyday. Freedom. LOL! Have a great day.
That my friend is an alligator gar! Mean things, but really good to eat. They get up to @ 300 lbs and look just like an alligator from the top, until you see scales & fins & no legs instead. They have real attitude. Nasty teeth too. Thanks for asking!
Check with your states Dept. of Natural Resources. Here,it's not legal as far as I know. They stock trout in the rivers but they don't live long, so it's not a species we see here in Texas and have the opportunity to harvest. I'd be great eating though.
Yep, it was a Koi. There are lots of them in the river here. Some from floods washing out ponds, and some have been released by people who didn't want to deal with them anymore. I have mixed feelings about shooting them myself. That one is at the taxidermy being mounted.
i wish i can do that in estonia
