Dude are you sure you have played any Medal of Honor game. MOH Airborne does use the K98 in the 1 mission as the primary weapon for the enemy . And all weapons have recoil. Before you do the mission, it shows you how much recoil each weapon. The enemy also uses G43s in 5 mission and panzerschreks in the 4 and 6th mission. It also has real locations, Historical accuracy and more.
And the Thompson is stronger than Mp40.
People use it more cause it has less recoil and the dagger for an upgrade.

The Germans didn't need the gas masks on the Panzershrek in the game, because it is a latter model and it came with a protective blast plate, so the mask would only hinder their combat effectiveness.

His helment might have fallen off, and yes they made gasmasks with reddish lenses. And yes they wore them since the sermans used Zycklone B gas on the battlefield many times. And we do know how german soldiers look like, look in a history book, theres millions of photos from WW2.

You could play through the Polish or French campagins, then later in Market Garden.
I will admit, if you played that game it would be a lot of retreating, but it would certiantly put an emotional tone to it. You could even fight in the futility that was Berlin and have your character die.

@callofchaos yeah...towrds the end of the war when they knew they were gonna lose, they started researching new weapon ideas...one of those was like an infared scope mounted ion the stg44. also, they tried to turn the barrel of one to shoot around corners.
