@PatriotCondor I have the same boots it's like a 3 inch heel. I wear them from about 730 in the morning to about 1130-12 at night and they are comfy for me. I love them. I'd rather wear these than regular shoes.
I have really been debating on getting either the logger Redwoods, or the USA made Apache with the regular heel. Do you find any discomfort in wearing a taller heel all day?
I have some regular HH cowboy boots, and wearing the higher heels does get uncomfortable after a whole day for me. Are those heels that tall?
@PatriotCondor These particular boots are comfortable. Not sure what the "logger Redwoods" are really.. These are Chippewa brand loggers made in the USA. Model 25405. They have an inner boot for extra protection.. they are comfortable. They have typical 2" logger heel. I've worked a trade for 12 years in loggers and they never bothered me. But, loggers are built for specific use. If you're a lineman, logger, or the like, then you want a logger, otherwise get a lower heel.
Are these boots 25405. I don't know how you feel but I am tired of hearing guys saying they are too heavy. Once you put them on they are not bad. Very Comfortable
@calvincats Yup, they're 25405. Yea, personally it gets a little old when people are overly critical of certain things. Some boots are too heavy, too hot, too 'what ever'.. then just don't wear 'em. Those of us that work in them don't often have much of a choice and really don't care. They're incredibly comfortable and they're not that heavy anyway.
How have they held up? My last couple pairs of Red Wings haven't held up. I don't know if they changed the manufacturing process. Anyway, I'm looking for a new brand of logger boot. I don't mind paying alot but I want something that will last.
@aqinthe A lot of boots are being made in China or over seas in general and they're all crap! Red Wing is making some overseas too.. I noticed you posted a comment on another guy with wings (with the funny lacing) those are made in China and while look good, they're cheap and won't last. These Chippewa Super Loggers are about $220 on line and will hold up a long time; good boots. Red Wing 2218's are also good but pricey.
@MNBootboy I just got a pair of Carolina Loggers. I made sure to get the ones that are "made in the US" They are maybe the most comfortable logger boot I have ever owned. I just hope they last at least a year and a half. I would have gotten Chippewas but they didn't quite have my size. When my Carolinas wear out I may give Chippewa a try.
@MNBootboy I ended up going with a pair of Carolina Loggers (made in the U.S.). I like the Chippewa boots but they didn't have my width in stock and I didn't feel like waiting. When my Carolinas are old I may try Chippewa.
@tonystewartdalejr Holy crap dude! I'd trade size with ya. lol. What size foot do you have? The Chippewa Super Logger only comes in up to a size 14. But, it has the 2" logger heel on it. But, when you put them on, they really only add about 1.5" to your height.. But, they're incredibly comfortable boots too. There is another boot that looks just like these from Chipp, but it has just a 1" heel on it.
@thinkkiller Google "Chippewa 25405" and you'll see some retailers selling them. Chipp really doesn't sell direct.. and the ones you find online selling them are drop shipping them direct from Chipp anyway. You shuodl be able to get them for about $175 to $200... anything more is too much.
@kbrowne14 ... you need to SERIOUSLY seek help. Are you that bored? You apparently get your jollies off on flaming people on youtube - do you know what that is a sign of? ..serious mental disturbances and mental disorders. After checking out your channel page, with no videos of your own, its clear that you have a hobby in flaming other users here. I also doubt you work in a jail because they do screen employees - you'd go off the charts as nuts.
For people like you to ask stupid questions.. and then continue over the rest of my videos flaming more comments. If this isn't for you, there are millions other videos to look at. But, you must like it becuase you viewed 2 others.. grow up. Not everything on YouTube is for everyone.. got it?
going to have to agree with calgarymn... those boots (and the man in them)... something sexy about them! hmmm... wonder what might happen if I tell you I'm a diet pepsi guy instead, lol. :-P
Funny you ask.. yes.. I used dead butts to mark where I needed to stand.. I used them becuase I figured they'd be small enough to not be seen.. so far, this has been the #1 question. Good eye... ;)
