  • <3 thanks I'm doing this at college :)

  • I'm sorry but this is not embedding! You are simply adding videos to your powerpoint

  • I dont have the URL thingy

  • Thanks! It really helped, the media converter didn't work, but you sure taught me the basis and I got it in the end :)

  • Thank YOU for this tutorial -- truly!! I like the website you shared...I'm converting my video NOW! =) Make it a GREAT day!!

  • thank you-you made it clear and concise! happy christmas!

  • EXTREMELY HELPFUL! This video literally saved the day!

  • Thank you so much for making this video. I found it very easy to follow and I have successfully inserted a YouTube video into my PPT! -Peace Harmony

  • Thanks! This is awesome!

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

  • OMG YOUR SEXY FOR THIS! THANK YOUUUUUUUUU. You're PHENOMENAL!

  • thats all good but you should have added how to get that presentation out of there and

how to preserve the video to play how you want it to play you could have easily broke this tut down into two parts and showed the final results with office 2007

  • THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! You saved my presentation!

  • this video helped me so much. thank you!

  • thank you!!

  • This is great tutorial, but you should mention that the media converter, although is free will only convert video's no larger than 100mb.. BUT for $4 you can get the converter for the week and convert any video up to 1gb. I dont have the time to look for other media converters for free that can do larger video and besides this was easy. Thanks again!!!

  • Thank you so much for the advice, you'v been a great help :)

  • dude, turn up your volume. mine is all the way up & i still have to put my mac up to my ear to hear you. thanks. but it worked for now. hopefully my MAC ppt will convert nicely to my school's late ppt system. thanks again.

  • Is it possible to make the video where it doesn't start from the beginning? I need to make a video start at 2:05

  • thanks man!! i just used this vid for help!

  • Thank you very much, this is extremely helpful!!

  • Thank you so much! I was having a hard time finding an embeding video for macs. I appreciate you helping me out :)

  • Will not play video on PC

  • uhmm i tried looking for the URL thingy on the right and it wasnt there. what do i do now?

  • This is fine if you have a short video you want to embed. What I would like to do is link to the video online and have it play from within the ppt. I want to show videos that when converted to mp4 are many megabytes. So linking to the web is more practical and flexible than converting the video and having to store it.

  • For some reason my youtube link isn't converting?

  • Great video man!, very helpful!

  • Thanks for the help!!!! I really appreciate it! :D

  • isn't there a way to do this without downloading the video?

  • how do u insert a video on a mac not working

  • how do u insert a video on a mac not working

  • @patrick29022 probably screenflow

  • WOW a millllllion thanks!!!!! you helped me out so much ive been looking for this for maybe more than an hour! thanks thanks thanks.. very easy to follow too

  • Thanks you!

  • thanks so much! i have a huge project where the video HAD to be in the power point..not like a url on the page. This helped so much! Appreciate it (:

  • thanks man, youre a great help

  • The video is NOT embedded in the PPT. Rather, it is PLACED (LINKED). What this means is that the PPT file NEEDS the accompanying video file to remain alongside it. If you delete the mp4 video file, for example, the video that you placed into PPT will NOT play. Very important to keep in mind. If the video WAS actually embedded, then you wouldn't need the mp4 file anymore, you could just trash it and it would still play in the PPT. Just a clarification.

  • @sdesign9 I'm pretty sure you will still need to have an internet connection to play the video.

  • @MrJy93 Nope. As long as you've gotten the mp4 successfully created and saved onto your computer, you could terminate your internet connection right there - no internet connection needed after creating and getting the file. The mp4 is an actual file local on your machine now. The PPT will need that physical file linked to the presentation (the video won't play without it). All you need the internet connection for is to find what video you'd like and to create/save an mp4 out of it. Good luck!

  • @sdesign9 that is what this video is about. converting the YouTube video to a file that is supported on a Mac and then used in a PPT, on a Mac. I think we are misunderstanding each other :)

  • This video helped a lot, thank you so much!!

  • thank you so much!!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

  • Did you place the video or did you embed the video? theres a big difference.

  • @REVOLT973 What's the difference? It is embedded in the powerpoint.

  • @MrJy93 I windows Vista and I just got finished with you walk...converter is still stuck downloading...:C

  • thank you, easy to follow.

  • Yes, um... I don't have that subscribe box that you showed at 0:30. Is there any way i can get that on there?

  • Thank you - this video was very helpful and easy to follow.

  • Thanks that was very helpfull

  • thanks this helped a lot

  • can i choose the minutes that i wan tot play from the video.

for example if i only want to play the middle part of a video?

    please help

  • @flora17a thanks for Sub:)

I am assuming you only want to play a portion of a video in your presentation? If so, you would have to perform the steps to download the video to your computer. Then you would need some video editing software, like iMovie. Then you can Import that video into iMovie and trim it so that it is only the minutes you need. Once you trim it, save it as a .mp4 file to your computer and then you should be able to put the video into Powerpoint. Hope this helps and good luck.

  • very helpful! Macs are so much easier than PCs!!!!

  • hey i need your help! im doing this power point for a school project with one my friends and i was wondering can u share Mac power points to a PC power point? cause i tryed sending my power point to my friend so he can edit it and he cant open it! u cant share it to! so a pc owner can edit it?

  • @FlyVzla You can share mac powerpoints on a PC as long as the PC has powerpoint. You will need to save the file on the mac with the extension .ppt or it may not work on the PC. Also, some features may not transfer and some bullet points, formatting, etc. may show up a little differently.

    Hope this helps. Good luck.

  • This is way more helpful than any other website I looked at. Thanks.

  • Clear, concise and very helpful for Mac users ...well done!

  • great!!!

  • Great tutorial thanks. You make it very clear and simple.

  • Hi...your video was GREAT! However, my issue is that it only let me save it to Quicktime, no other option.

And I may not be able to use my mac for the presentation, and I'll have to use a jump drive on a PC. I copied PPT and video and tried to play it from a PC. It says it can't open the .mov file and it won't play on windows media player. Can you help me? Is there another way to save the file or make it work on a windows player?

I would really appreciate your help.

  • I had to use a PC to upload, convert, & download the video inorder for it to work on a PC during my presentation. I am sure you could mess with the advanced features on the media converter website with your mac. But I found it easier to redo the process on a PC.

Then you have to re-insert the video on the PPT on the PC & be sure to save the PPT & the video in the same file on the Jump drive.

Basically wherever your PPT goes..The video file needs to follow it.

    Hope this helps.

  • Ahh, thanks. Dang. That won't work for me as the PC is a corporate one that prevents accessing YouTube. I'll just hope I can use my mac! Thanks again.

  • I'm wondering how long the converter you mentioned normally takes. I entered a short you tube video in there and it seems to not be moving the status bar at all...

thanks for this video though! let me know.

    Diane

  • Thanks for the info, I needed for a presentation

  • THANK YOU SOOOO MUCHHHHHHH

  • greaaaat thanks!!!! it help very much. GRACIAS!!

  • great tutorial. thanks a lot!

  • Not sure what you mean? If you only want some of the video to play without manually stopping it, you have to edit the video before putting it into power point. Hope this helps.

  • Hi thank you for the tutorial. How do you display only a portion of the video on power point?
