Nice, at lease some people are honest about how many time they will run to overclock their cards, it tookme 26 times to get my 5850 stable at 1.3GHz/1300MHz at the memory at 1.35V with watercooling in temps of 9c and low environment, it work and now I have it at 1GHz/1300 at 1.3V with watercooling

Hei sellasta lähtisin kyseleen, että onko tälläsen tavallisen pelaajan / hifisteliä pelaajan järkee ostaa matrix mallia ? Kun joskus tarvetta tulee kellotella, niin kellottuuko tuo normi ASUS dc2 ihan yhtä hyvin kuin matrix malli ? Ihan vakio coolerilla ja ilmalla siis. Vähän edellistä myötäillen, onko dc2 sama jäähy kuin matrixissa ? Kiitos vastauksesta!

Ei ole. Matrix ei tuo mitään sellaista lisää, joka antaisi normaalissa käytössä vastaavaa hyötyä. DC2 kortit kellotuvat yhtä hyvin, ellei jopa paremmin kuin Matrix kortit. Matrix on enemmänkin suunniteltu ennätysten rikkomiseen, jolloin kaikki sen ominaisuudet ei pääse oikeuksiinsa arkikäytössä. Jäähdyttimissä on pieniä eroja, mutta pääpiirteittäin ne on samanlaisia ja yhtä tehokkaita / hiljaisia. Suosittelen odottamaan esim. 7970 DCII mallia, joka tulee ulos Q1/12 :)

@SF3DOC Kiitos vastauksesta, erityisen nopeaa porukkaa siellä ! Vielä hiukan offtopicia, mutta itseltäni lyötyy Nexus Clodius kotelo, mahtuuko noikin iso kortti edes sen sisuksiin ? Mittoja olen alustavasti vilkuillut, mutta en ole päässyt oikein tulokseen. Kiitos jälleen.

Epäilen, että on aika tiukilla tuon kotelon kanssa sillä matrix ja DC II kortit on noin 3-4cm pidempiä kuin ATX standardi, jolloin kortit ottaa mahdollisesti kiinni kiintolevyihin kyseisessä kotelossa. Kannattaa siis miettiä uutta koteloa. Esimerkiksi: jimms.fi/tuote/SHINOBI-WH-W

You are wrong. GTX 590 has two GF110 chips (which is the same as GTX 580 and 570). The GTX 590 is almost the same as two GTX 570's in SLI and that is way better than two GTX 560's.

While 2x 590 scores 42656 (will blow up if overclocked.)

I'm not talking about 3DMark points (which are almost useless anyways). GTX 590 is almost the same in gaming performance than GTX 570 SLI. The GPU's in GTX 590 are like stripped down GTX 580's.

And also the performance gain with 4-way SLI (2 x GTX 590's is a 4-way) is very marginal (as you can see from test results, 1 x GTX 590 scroring only 6k less than in SLI).

So staring at your 3DMark points isn't telling much.

@MasMember The GTX 580 is a single gpu card. You are thinking of the GTX 590 which is a dual gpu card.

I have my 580's oc'd at 860mhz at stock voltages and at times my temps peak to 87 degrees c. Is that still within the safe range?

Can someone please tell me why i cant overclock my gtx580 from stock 772 to over 800? i get system failure after 800. im in a 60 degree room. fan is stuck at 100% rpm..and istill get failure. and also my cpu is a 6 core amd 3.2 i have it over clocked to 3.8 but anything after that is unstable. how the hell are these guys overclocking these cpu's to 4.6 ghz with no unstability? please reply

Nothing wrong, crash is because of to low voltage. You will have to adjust the voltage to go higher. But be warned it's dangerous if you don't know what you are doing !

How did you get off the Heatspreader?

In the showed run, on how many Mhz was the CPU running? In the Results where wrtitten over 6100Mhz... How can it be under air? Or was ist an other run with LN2?

You can see almost all details from result screenshots, if you look full screen and full HD. The CPU was running 6250MHz in 06 and 5950MHz in 3DMark Vantage. The card was pretested on air and that is on the video :)
