Man, I really wished my dad and I could be in that first Saints game of the season On Thursday, September 9, 2010 against the Vikings. I kind of feel so secluded from all the other Saints fans lol.
Representing the Saints from enemy territory : South Carolina. I see a bunch of black and blue (Panthers), but that's fine. Wait until my boys in black and gold come to that stadium in Charlotte.
My mom and I got four tickets to this game and talked my dad and my husband into going with us, keep in mind they don't like football. In the middle of the 2nd quarter my husband asked when do we set down.I had to explane to him look where you are at. You will probably not be setting for a while..Other than excepting Christ as my savior, saying I do to my husband, and having my children, this ball game is one that I'll never forget.(Unless they go to the Superbowl). BLESS YOU BOYS!!!
Hey bromart16 I remember you i'm the smokin hot chick. We couldn't move forwards or backwards. It was hot and I was sure there was no way they would be able to get everyone in before kickoff. And then when they seperated the women and men, I was like NOWAY JORGE!!!!
yeah i remember when they didnt open the doors yet and eyeryone was piled up against each other and we were all so pissed but i didnt mind because i was right next to this smokin hot chick
yo. this is a really cool vid. kind of reminds me of what a fan did for our team on colts dot com. keep representin' your team. and go saints!!! (except on Sept. 6th) :)
Sorry, you got it wrong...must have been a typo. You meant to say "I suck", because noone in their right mind would say the Saints suck, just wouldn't happen. What planet are you on Airsoft...go play your guitar, you queef.
Hehehe! I like how you zoom in on that guys patch of white hair n laugh. It was kind of a bizzare lil thing, wasn't it? Yes I notice stuff like that, sorry. I'm easily entertained. Cool video btw. Thanks.
I'm with ya brother! Living up here in Alexandria and not able to get season tickets, but getting tickets one game at a time on eBay! Trying to get some for the first preseason homer vs. the Bills. Oh I want to be in that number...!
The false start was bogus. Ref called it on the first guy who moved. The play went on because Garcia had the ball, making it impossible to stop and not look bad.
I never in my life thought I would hear the announcers on ESPN say the pick the Saints to WIN... yes you read correctly WIN The Superbowl! Only took us 39 years!
Saints fans have been saying "Who-Dat?" since at least the early 80's. It really got started in the Dome Patrol days. I don't know who the freak came up with "Who-Dey?" but it is plagiarism. When Cincy plays the Saints on 11/19 in the Superdome, I DARE them to say it. They may not make it out alive. GEAUX SAINTS! WHO-DAT?!!
it's pronounced, "who dat?". i think dat...errrr...that chant started back in the early 80's. i actually thought that chant had died out years ago. i was surprised to hear it again.
The other day, I heard Bill Cowers(sp) say the phrase who dey say gonna beat them Steelers..something to that effect and I was like...wait a minute..that's now how it goes! Wrong wording AND wrong team..lol. No offense meant to the coach or the Steelers, just an observation. :)
Actually, it's "Who Dat". This has been a phrase (song) immplemented since the late 80's early 90's. Too far back for me to remember..lol. Anyone have info on the exact year "Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints" came to be?? My curiousity is peeked now. :)
They are saying WHO DAT.. And Bengals didn't Start Who Dey. That comes from LSU Fans. Someone (probably from Louisiana) took it to Cin and became a Bengals fan and thats mostly likely how ya'll Started using, but LSU Fans have been saying Who Dey Since The team Started doing well in the early 40's. But it's ok ya'll can share it.. just don't claim ya'll said it first. The history is in a Wikipedia somewhere as well and on the Official LSU Site.
What's so cool about New Orleans is that it is soooo different from any other big city in America. It's hard to describe... it's not American, it's not European - but probably more like Europe than anything. You feel like you're in a different world : ) I hope she comes back stronger than ever. (i need some red beans and rice!)
ehh...i guess off and on since i was a kid. we used to go to a lot of saints games back in the early-mid 90's when the saints would kick ass in the regular season and then get their asses kicked in the first playoff game. those were their best years! this season reminds me a lot of those years.
haha those marching bands yous over there have are crazy! I bet there must have been such a buzz in there. i don't think i have ever seen a croud that big in real life!
check out the video "Orange and Blue Skies" on my channel... Florida field seats 90,000 plus! And it's not even the largest stadium in the South. I think the Superdome only seats like 70,000.
well bryony...if you ever visit my great city, maybe you could experience something similar. mardi gras is quite similar to what you saw in the video..minus the football game, of course.
LOL... yep, that was an old fashioned ass kicking! And if i remember right, the next year, LSU was the first SEC team to beat Florida in ages... tore down their damn goal posts at home! We could only say to ourselves "you know you're good when the home team tears down the goal posts after beatin' ya!"
ah yes, i'll never forget that night... I even had an LSU vs. Florida, "You Never Forget Your First Time" t-shirt... which I never really understood... because it wasn't the first time LSU ever beat UF at home... but it sure was memorable...
That was Cap't Morgan with the Black Wesley Snipes! Cap't Morgan was giving out Mardi Gras beads to everyone. I wish he would have given out bottles of his rum!
Great stuff! A wonderful sight to see. Congrats on the win. Atlanta ran into some pretty powerful mojo that night. Hey Jenn, I think you're thinking of Jai Alai.
"After the heart ache, and devastation this city has seen during the events of hurricane Katrina, I don't think there is any other team that deserves to win this game more, what do you think, Ted?"
"Oh yes, Bill. God loves this city and I think he's going to prove that tonight."
ah hell. i'm glad i checked the tube before i went to sleep. otherwise...my stalker status would have looked bad if i hadn't commented, huh? wow. the title fits this perfectly.
Go Saints!
