When I was a kid before Crocs I was on an escalator wearing rubber galoshes and the entire toe was ripped off my boot. I wasn't hurt and the Macys manager made sure I had a new pair of galoshes, but parents have to give this some thought.

Please watch children as they tend to daydream and put their toes up against the step in front of them and their little shoe can get cought! You wouldn't as an adult jam your Croc or flip flop shoe into the moving stair in front of it, but your kid might!
