This is just too good of a Christmas special that too many people worked too long and too hard on (i.e. it takes about a month to make 3 minutesof something like this) for it to be just lost to the winds of television history like it seemingly has. Big props

Thank you for posting all of this. An old VHS tape with this special recorded off of TV in 1989 is a big part of my Christmas tradition. My husband has never seen this; that's changing this year.
Also, considering you can't even say "Merry Christmas" anymore without feeling like a pariah, something like this wouldn't air on TV today. That's so sad ...
