Hmm~ May I ask where you got your Sai version? Because I can't find one with the "Line" tool ... xD; I only get the "Pen" and "Brush" one lol Thanks! :3
I find i get better result if you make a linework layer and use the pen tool then you can edit all lines you make by holding ctrl and dragging the dots around, so if you are happy with the placement of a line but the line has kinks then you can move them into place or even remove them with the alt key. another command key for this is you can rotate your line(s) with the shift key.

You can also edit the lines though by using the curve tool.
