I'm also glad that you detailed the importance of maintaining a moisture / protein balance. This is soooooo very important and we have to spread the word about this balance. Thanks for doing this video. HTN products make so much since to me. Hair is protein and so it needs protein, but hair also needs moisture. I'm learning this (by reading) more and more everyday. You're awesome!
I'm sorry you had the breakage. Please tell us how HTN works as far as if it helps with that. I actually took a break this summer from HTN products because I had protein overload and hard, hard, brittle ends but, that was just for my hair...as you said, all our hair is different. That is a bit scary.... For one's hair to be so accustomed to a product then stop it have a reaction.... I am sorry that that happened to you, however I am glad that you were able to pinpoint what was causing you breakage.

Thanks drroberson4 for your comment....allow me to add that I truly feel that since HN has provided me a good balance of protein and moisture that when I stopped using it my hair became imbalanced hence why Im getting breakage...instead of trying to find a product to give my hair the P&M balance again, I rather just stick with what's working for me....I don't feel I got a "reaction" from discontinuing...my hair just became imbalanced..I'll definitely be bk in a few wks to give an update tho! :))

I had a problem similar to yours. I normally use Leklair's Cholesterol and decided to mix in Tea Tree Oil and holy hell broke loose in my hair. My hair felt like straw and was breaking immediately after applying the mixture... I had to cowash my hair and heavily deep condition and it took a week for my hair to return back to it's normal self. Never Again!!
I don't think you will have to cut your. I would suggest get it professionally trimmed and a good salon treatment. Sorry this is happening to you. I went through the same thing. It will be alright just give it a little time.
