  • The clapping was such a great idea, but not executed right. The leading player should have a sardonic, cynical clap, to which she claps for him in the same way, leaving him with the stage for his finale... This just seemed awkward and forced. Catherine's performance, is however, perfection. First time I'd ever really felt this song.

  • Could you share the chords you played?

  • This is dreadful. Screamy, hammy, and not at all what Mr. Schwartz wrote. I'm all for non-traditional, but part of the challenge of a production like this is doing something new with WHAT HE WROTE.

  • @kphoenix5942 Actually I'm pretty sure she didn't take that many liberties with the melody, change the key, or really add anything to the orchestration. All they did was strip away the orchestration and leave it right down to bare piano chords plus move the Leading Players entrance to the end. I will agree that she sings it with a much different tone than many Catherines I've ever seen. But this gets across the spur of the moment feeling MUCH better than the original libretto, in my opinion.

  • This is absolutely fantastic.

Is there any way you could post/send the arrangement?

  • AMAZING song, but why ruin it with the claps at the end? It was just awkward and stupid... hmmm. :)

  • that was probably the best version of that song ever, and the ending left me wanting to see the finale

  • "and he had a really nice foot!"

  • ILOVEHER!

  • This is amazing. AH-MAY-ZING!

Is there any way you can contact me and email me the sheet music to this?

  • This song isn't supposed to be funny. Any show that makes it over the top funny isn't keeping the integrity of it. This is one of the most beautiful versions of the song I've seen.

  • @fightXyourXrebellion actually it is supposed to be funny just listen to the lyrics its called comic relief

  • @JordanMichelle545 I disagree. it shouldn't be over the top funny. It really does ruin the feeling of the song when it's TOO funny.

  • This is non-traditional! I love Pippin and I've never seen it done this way. Great job Cortney!

  • That was beautiful. The best I've seen yet.
