It's roughly the same size as the quarter, a little taller in battle mode, a little longer in cruiser. All online hobby retail shops are out of stock but ebay has them for roughly $450 shipped a piece, I paid $415 for mine so $450 isn't TOO bad.

I gotta curious question...are those Barrels of some sort on both shoulders?

Cause Ive watched both the Macross and Robotech Series & Movies and I noticed there isnt an episode of them being used in the many space combat sequences against the Zentradi.

@EvilFingers yes....the macross cannons arent used as much as the normal anti air battroid/guns.which is actually fine for me since the battles wont be epic if the sdf-1 started spamming all those mega attacks :).as for those cannons the only time it was fired in battlecruiser mode was in the first ep. of macross called "booby trap" and after they lost the fold system,they had to transform the ship into Storm Attacker mode to fire the main guns.cheers mate!

I remember seeing one of these at a hobby shop just a few blocks from my office three years ago, and I just got a raise from being regularized for one year back then. From the conversion rate, it just cost barely a hundred dollars. If I got some disposable cash, I'd snap up one of these...and boy oh boy, would this look so bad ass at my workstation! WT, have you gotten the Robot Damashii figs from MACROSS FRONTIER yet?

I found one in my local hobby shop and I just had to get it.. even with a slightly inflated price tag I can't help myself.. this looks so awesome, I even bought a display case for it!

Glad I found the movie color version too, I would've hesitated if it was that glossy original version.

Looking at your reviews, all I can say is that it's an awesome time to be a Macross fan. There's just so much cool stuff coming out and things they have planned, it's mind-boggling! I have to pause everytime I look at my growing collection of shelves and shelves of stuff. I mainly focus on Macross and Robotech stuff, but do collect a few other lines of toys, I like Gundam, but there's just way too much from Gundam. I would go broke just collecting Gundam stuff alone.

robotech has one good iteration -the novelizations. they tie together the Invid, Zentraedi, and msyterious progenitor Robtoech Masters in a satsifying way. I read them first and never lost the badass memory ofKamjin ingesting sacred battle flower opium/coke given to him by the zentraedi's creators in interstellar imperial war - - -what song is used in the middle section here btw? i cant recall it from macross, i guess i dont have the movie OST though. is it from Frontier or something?

Well I would expect so - it has a much better story line and the severely cool factor of these being military machines. When you put together a VF-4 Lightning III you're looking at an actual instrument of war, not a Tranformer, which, if it really was an instrument of total war, wouldn't every single one be armed to the teeth, and personalities (which could get in the way of a Roman-esque fighting legion) banned?

Sometimes I think mixing TF stories with Mechwarrior clan rules would be better.

Thanks, don't now what the Macross official term is but I've always considered it a "Battriod". The term robot could be a mistake as technically speaking a robot is an artificial agent.

Its not really that technical he says its not a robot cause it has no arms or legs. That plastic do de do is still funny 2hrs later
