  • thx dude you make good Videos bRo

  • @superchris386 thank you very much for the compliment! :)

  • OMH thankyou thankyou thankyou!!! I love you and you deserve a sub!!! :)

    A million thanks!

I now know how to record sound (other than my mic), and it was actually that simple?? Thanks again. :D

  • oe man, haslo p en español..jodér!!!

  • I just formatted my windows to windows 7, but I noticed that I can't do any recording session or mic session, and on my recording part on the sound settings, there only one icon microphone which is currently unavailable,, where do I get this stereo mix and Line in?

  • @2221films Not necessarily, if it's set for 48000 that'll usually work just fine.

  • what you have to do is click start and then search motherboard select update drivers select other drivers and click on the audio driver and then select update.

  • @minimichinima Please be careful using this as updates would be obtained from Microsoft and any update may not be the correct update. It is always better to manually check for updates by going to the sound card or sound chip manufacturer's website or computer manufacturer website for updates.

  • @2221films LOL I don't know why the screen looks the way it does - it's what was there shortly after installing Win 7 :D

It should not take a long time for the Sound Settings to open up - maybe there's something else going on that causing this? (i.e. cpu load, available memory, malware, virus).

  • @2221films Yes there is a difference between 16 and 24 bit - in layman's terms, 24 bit audio has more data than 16 bit.

  • @2221films Not necessarily. Most computers will record/play fine using 44.1 or 48 KHz. Where it becomes a problem is when it's set to 96KHz - not all computer will play that frequency range as it is determined by the Sound Card/Sound Chip installed/in use.

  • When I do those tests, I cant hear nothing :( plz help

  • @kalakovsky Make sure you can see the meter move in the speaker properties when playing an audio file. If the meter is moving, make sure the speakers are connected to the correct jack. If the meter is not moving, make sure they are not muted. If they are not muted, in the properties for the speakers there may be a tab called communications, make sure the setting to mute is not set there either.

  • when i got windows 7 i did have sound help me

  • @keshaunthompson I'm not quite understanding ya - can the problem be explained in another way? Thanks.

  • hey thanx for this video, but i am having some problems still.

When i jack in my mic, the sound is delaying for a 1 or 2 mili seconds....

its actually not a problem when i am talking to somebody over the skype or g talk, but it is a problem when im trying to record my guitar..... becose of the delay it makes me to play very sloppy if you know what i mean....

so is there a way to correct this?!

i have integrated sound adapter (card) 2GB of DDR2 and dual core processor. on xp it worked normally

  • @vukcrtani This may be a driver issue - check to see if there is an updated driver for your sound card or it might be an effect - check to see if there are any effects from the sound card turned on and adjust accordingly.

  • My studio microphone is hooked up to my computer for studio recordings. Sound is only coming in through the left pan. Do you know what the origin of my problem is, or how to fix it?

  • The microphone jack is a mono jack so I would suggest to make sure a stereo plug is being used on the end of the connector being plugged into the microphone port (a stereo plug has two separators - two sleeves and tip. If it only has tip and one sleeve then it is a mono connector).

If you are using a mixer board then the analog connection should be from the mixer board to the LINE IN port on the computer which is a stereo port and making sure the connector is a stereo plug.

  • My mic is fed through a power supply and from the power supply to the computer jack. The mic prong is originally 1/4" which is obviously too big so I bought the adapter to convert it to 1/8". That's all I have and I don't know what a Stereo plug is. I will look it up myself but if you could link me an example I would appreciate it. Thanks for the help in the first place.

  • I just looked it up and the 1/4" --> 1/8" adapter I bought has a stereo plug ... on the other hand the original 1/4" plug is a mono ... any ideas?

  • This sounds correct. Is there any difference if using the LINE IN port compared to the MIC port? It may be more beneficial to use the LINE IN port since it's in stereo compared to the mono MIC jack - left channel only.

If that does not help then there is a possibility the audio may only be in single channel mode and this setting is accessed through the LINE IN or MIC properties, Advanced Tab. Try to set it to two channel mode, some sound cards only allow single channel mode.

  • Yeh I definitely have the settings on 2 Channel. I'm not sure what the difference is between a line-in port and a mono mic jac. I just plugged the mic into the pink port in the bac of the computer. There is also one on the front of the computer. How would I switch it to a line in?

  • The Line In port, normally light blue color/arrow going into a circle is typically where a CD player, mixerboard, etc... is plugged in and the mic port, normally pink color/microphone symbol is typically where a microphone is plugged in.

In your audio software or in Windows Recording properties you should be able to switch from front to rear, it is recommended to use the rear ports whenever possible.

  • Thanks a lot man ... I came up with a temporary fix for the problem and I record in Mono now .. It isnt exactly what I wanted to do but it works the same...appreciate u responding and trying to help me find a solution

  • So, how do I get sterio mix in Windows 7? I need to know ASAP, Please get back to me soon, thanks

  • If stereo mix, what-u-hear or wave out is not available after enabling disconnected and disabled devices see if there is an updated audio driver for your sound card/chipset and hopefully the updated driver will provide this functionality.

If not, one solution is to connect a dual1/8" male to 1/8" female stereo shielded cable. Connect one male end to the output jack and the other male end to the line in or mic jack. Then connect your headphones or speakers to the female end.

  • Another solution is a software plugin for the browser. I am not familiar with these but have seen them by doing a Google search for them.

    Good luck!
