Oh my god so cute. And it seems as stubborn as a kitten. I want one so bad, but I don't think I could take care of one. It's a lot more commitment than I can handle. And maybe if there were available rabies shots for skunks..

most pet skunks are raised by cats in a litter..and believe it or not, they eat cat food when they are older..some other foods are needed, but its really simple

@pumpinpie1919 Cat food is actually a bit high in protein for them. The best diet seems to be mostly veggies with bugs like crickets thrown in for protein.

@train52000 In the wild they scavenge so will eat pretty much what ever they come across, in captivity they eat a diet of around 75% vegetables, 5% fruit, 10% protein and 10% grains/some forms of dairy etc. Quite a specialized diet to keep them healthy and unlike what some will have you believe, dog food is NOT a good diet for Skunks!

Folks-- This is THE PROPER way to feed a baby animal -- NEVER make it lie on its back to feed it, as it could aspirate the formula and get it in its lungs.
