  • for a easycore???

  • BMTH

  • so much thanks for this! Wanted to play a song there goes in this tuning, but i tuned as the tabs said and it sounded like shiiiit! Then i figured out i read them wrong with help from you!

  • Anyone else want this for Psychosocial?

  • dude, I thought I was gonna break C string XD

  • @TheBloodEagle27 It happens sometimes, gotta make sure your guitar is setup right.

  • never mind

    :P

  • what is the song at the beginning ?

  • that was rlly helpful thx...took a while but I think I've got it tuned right now...finally!!

  • @1FreyaH Great!

  • @ChromeCelica00 but um..well this isn't ur fault its totally my fault but when I tuned it bak to standard tuning I broke High E and B! oops..

  • @1FreyaH Yeah, it's an extreme difference, and you shouldn't do that very often, have another guitar that stays in standard and another in this one!

  • @ChromeCelica00 yeh thats what I was thinking! Anyway thx 4 ur help

  • ty for this, i love u

  • @Dismal626 No problem! I love you too! loll

  • Step one. Get a tuner. Step two. Tune.

  • @Direksone True, but this is convenient for a lot of people just to tune right on their computer, such as myself

  • @Direksone

    Step one: Come here

    Step two: Save 10-30 dollars

    Step three:???

    Step four: Profit.

  • @05anonymous50 Haha, no. If youre spending that amount of money on a tuner youre doing it wrong, just a waste of money. A good tuner is 80-90 euros. TC Electronics Polytune ftw. Great stuff. Atleast you know youre 100% in tune.

  • @Direksone Where i'm from, anything that doesn't fall apart within a week is ridiculously overpriced. I can't get a decent tuner for less than fifteen dollars so I just come here.

  • @05anonymous50 Well all I know its a good investment and the best tuner I've had so far.

  • Mastodon-Spectrelight

  • Why can not i ?

  • chunk no caPTAIN CHUNK

  • im doing this for slipknot :P

  • yeah me too bmth

  • Using this to learn some bring me the horizon :D

  • @21stCENTURYBOY12 Yeah BMTH...

  • Damn Drop A tuning is almost like having a half Bass and half Guitar

  • @goyitoolguin BASSically...lol

  • Any one who is wondering what strings you will need for this, you will need 12 Gauge :D

  • @CJDmusicman not really. I used 10s haha. Sounds perfect. Has good flow to it also

  • Anyone know how to set up a guitar for heavy gauge strings? I dont want my neck to warp and the sound is so much better with it correctly set up. Thanks

  • Hey guys, could anyone tell me what gauge strings would be ideal for this tuning?

    I need to know asap

  • Breaking Benjamin Tabs brought me here.

  • WHITECHAPEL TIME

  • @MeGoRAWRZ FUCK YEAH! \m/

  • @Alerion89 whitechapel is fucking exile :3

  • does it help to have thicker strings for this kind of tunning or do standard strings work just fine?

  • @RodriguezChingon Definitely thicker, if your strings are too thin/light, they will wobble around like crazy and get knocked out of tune constantly.

  • @RodriguezChingon Would recomned 12 gauge, high E string to be 12, not 8 or 9, 10

  • @RodriguezChingon get 11 guage strings

  • Fuck all of you that are playing Suicide Silence or Parkway Drive.

    Weekend.

    Nachos.

  • SUICIDE SILENCE!

  • @metalheadjake7 sucks

  • @blankbrian you sir....swallow:3

  • @metalheadjake7 fuck yea

  • TIME TO PLAY PARKWAY DRIVE :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • thnx dude really helped out cheers!!!

  • Thanks man, this help out a lot! This sounds way better than Drop C ! ^^

  • What a username

  • @robd90210 Yeah I named it after my Car, if I knew my account was going to get this popular, I wouldn't have done that, but whatever haha

  • The guitar riff at the ebginning sounds and reminds me of AVvenged Sevenfold

  • thanks man, my guitar tuner app on my ipod doesn't even go this low -.-

  • My friend says A# tuning is just a C tuning but with the low C string 1 step lower. But here it seems it is totally different every string from C tuning?

  • @Leewander Yes this is the same as C Standard tuning except the 1st low string is A# but the others are the same

  • Time to pawn the song Mr.Highway is Thinking About the End.

    DISRESPECT YOUR SURROUNDINGS!

  • Thank you!

  • @360freakazoidguy yeesss, that song too i just havent gotten to it yet

  • thats nice dude, i'd like to listen to your songs! could u send me a link?

  • @HTMLrulezzzD00d The link is in the info, the purevolume link, click that and you'll be taken to my band's page.

  • whats the song at the beginning and end of the video?

  • @HTMLrulezzzD00d Beginning was something I scrapped a while ago, but my song Chronolapse is sort of similar to what it was...and the end song is Anthem of the Insomniac aka 8am Madness. Both can be listened to/downloaded on my band's purevolume page in the info. Rough recordings with no vocals and fake drums so far

  • thank you so much for this video.my tuner is broke and i wanted to play chelsea smile :) hahah

  • Floyd rose tremolos makes this shit ridiculous >.<

  • A# is my fav x]

  • this is to tune drop B,, gg >.<

  • @decaps4499 No, this is A#/B Flat...search "Drop B" and watch the first video, that's Drop B tuning.

  • which song is that?

  • @luke18ify Which one? Beginning or end? The beginning was something old I made up a while ago, the end is "Anthem of the Insomniac" or "8am Madness" which you can listen to on my band's myspace or purevolume...links in info

  • thanks helps me tune all the time

  • @RyanWearzPrada Awesome, glad it helps!

  • can someone tell me how many steps this is down from standard??

  • @Th3yCaLLM3M0nK3y it's sixth half steps down

  • Thanks Diary of Jane will sound great when I learn to play it

  • A# doesn't exist in this case... why not use Bb??? it makes A TON more sense. the key of A# has double sharps. there is no point in tuning to "A#" when it is actually Bb. sorry, but I'm a theory nerd.

  • @empyreusmusic yeah i've always thought of it as B flat too. i guess some people just prefer to say A# even though it's wrong

  • @NickJ2517 how is it wrong, its the same thing.

  • @TheCompulsionToKill you're right, calling it A# isn't actually wrong. i should have used a different word. i've always though of it as being B flat tuning because in a major scale Bb is primarily used instead of A#. A# would have double sharps on C, F & G. but the A# minor scale has all sharps, and that's plenty easy to read. and at the end of the day, you're right, it doesn't really matter what you call the note because when you play it on the guitar, or any instrument, it will sound the same.

  • @NickJ2517 yeah, cant disagree there haha

  • I got a .59 for my Ab works out fine :D But I got to get like .62 or something I guess..

  • I have my Ibanez RG-120 in A#. And it sounds pretty darn good, easy to play ect. It has a little bit of trouble staying in tune but not much.. I have a .60 on the low A#

  • its weird i use 10s and drop a seems ok.

  • Like the guy earlier was saying before he changed languages :) buy a 7 string set. Lose the high E string. You now have B, E, A, D, G and B (Standard B tuning). Tune the low B string down half a step and tune the rest up half a step. You now have drop A# tuning without the strings being real loose and having to re-setup your guitar. Good luck.

  • what gauge shud i get if i wanna play in C B or A 0.11 right?

  • dude you should make a video comparing this to drop c or drop d... like play the same riffs so you can show us why this tuning is best for melodic metal

  • oh fuck o.o I Can't Play We Are The end... that's to " bass " ! O.O my chord's is just not good for this.. that's sounds like Shit when i'm on Drop C.. juste that .. -.-'

  • Where can I buy these special chords? I want to play In Flames, I can play some songs, but it sounds not really goodand my strings don't work when I tune they on Drop A.

Thx and sorry for my bad english^^

  • @GT5Fanatiker You just need heavy gauge strings, you can buy them at Sam Ash, Guitar Center, or probably any music store wherever you may be. I use 11 gauge usually. Your guitar should be set up accordingly as well so you don't mess up the neck.

  • @ChromeCelica00 how do i set up the guitar so the neck doesnt fuk up?

  • @rcorquiz117 You're gonna need to adjust the truss rod/bridge. Honestly, I couldn't tell you how, I usually will get it done at Guitar center, but yeah it's important, I never got my other Schecter setup correctly and the neck is horrible now haha

  • @GT5Fanatiker is easy bro, just buy a 7strings set, and use only 6. don"t use the last string. ok? lo unico q tienes q aser es comprar un set de 7 cuerdas o comprate unas de calibre 12-52 esas estan perronas para esa afinacion te dan un rango de afinacion desde drop A hasta drop C . HASLO Y HAY ME AVISAS Q TAL SE OYEN LAS CUERDITAS ESAS YO TENGO 3 GUITARRAS Y LES PONGO CALIBRES GRUESOS Y SE OYEN BIEN PERRAS. CHECATE MIS VIDEOS.

  • @guapodidier Thanks=) I bought an 11 Set - that's enough to play on Drop A. And it sounds so fucking awesome^^

What the...? Is that Spanish?^^ I only understand German, French, Luxembourgish and a little English^^

  • I need help! Plz msg me, I have a 5 string bass and would like to tune it to this.

  • @Shockwavepulsar99 Just drop all the strings a half step

  • Question, is a bass tuned the same way? Can songs that are tuned in drop a# be played in Standard tuning? Or do you HAVE to tune down? Please help!!!

  • cheers a million

  • Estas echo un maestro!

  • thx man great video!

  • @NaturalSelection9837 Glad you like!

  • is g lower than a .. i want the lowest i can go

  • @wuggshine Yes it is, make sure you have some heavy gauge strings for that and a correct setup first

  • @wuggshine get some baritone strings and go to f# or lower

  • you're just slightly out of tune

  • @thisisthomasjordan Could be, I tuned to another video of A# lol

  • wat song is that in the begging

  • @accartwright A song I wrote a while ago...don't have the MP3 of it anymore, lost it off my computer, but there is a video of me and my friend playing it "Full Melodic Death Metal Instrumental" in my videos.

  • wat song is that at the begging

  • perfect! thanks lots man!!!

  • Anybody know some really good drop a# bands out there, i usually only play drop c but i thought i might at well learn any other tunings. I can really only find impending doom and etc :I

  • @ThaJimster

slipknot plays in drop a# i think...

  • @ThaJimster The Acacia Strain, Emmure, and Whitechapel might be and Suicide Silence

  • @nickers18

    Whitechapel is Drop A.

  • @nickers18 suicide silence and whitechapel play 7 string drop a

other drop A# bands are From The Shallows, on the newest parkway drive album some songs are in drop A#

  • @nickers18 in flames too, and now sum parkway drive are both in drop a#/Bb

  • @ThaJimster In Flames.

  • thanks for this. psycho social!

  • I like this video. But god damnit the music @ beginning and end makes me mad all time

  • @dastobek Why lol

  • @ChromeCelica00 because I only have 1 guitar, and I have to tune it often. So I've listened to this crap a lot X_X

  • @dastobek Oh haha, yeah it will get annoying then, my bad haha

  • If your guitar has a 24 3/4 inch scale, can u tune it to this tuning if you have thick gauge strings? I was thinking of maybe getting a 79 series dean v. But i was wanting to tune it down to this tuning. But if i have to ill tune it to drop B. But could someone give me some help?

  • dude kinda looks like claudio lucky duck

  • @domdom1795 are you referring to him looking like claudio from Coheed and Cambria, because he does look like him a bit.

  • would you have to intonate your guitar to make this low? or just put deeper gauges? or do both? because i have been tuning up to a# and i have had a higher action on the strings, which made it harder to play. help please! thank u!

  • i tuned to A# just to play parkway drive! :D

  • i thought that drop A# tuning was, were the guitar is tuned to B# standard. But the sixth string was one step down

  • @VonHendrixTV You mean C# standard, yes

  • @ChromeCelica00 NO!!! B# is a half step lower than C standard. It might also be called C flat.

  • @VonHendrixTV I don't know about all the sharps/flats/steps stuff really it confuses me but all I know is from Drop A# aka B flat tuning, you can just tune the low string up to get to C something standard.

  • @ChromeCelica00 sorry dude, my bad. u were right, there is no B# tuning i guess.

  • @VonHendrixTV No such thing as a B# or Cb

it just doesnt exist same with no E#/Fb

  • @VonHendrixTV wow theres a B# now?

  • @VonHendrixTV are you retarded? b# is c.. not a halfstep lower....

  • @VonHendrixTV Hey mate im pretty sure there is no Cb or B# take a tuner such as the boss chromatic and it doesnt tell you the flat it will say like D. if your tuning to Eb and take it and try to tune to Cb well it will come up as B. but it wot come up its weird

  • @VonHendrixTV there is no Cb for most purposes. B is 1/2 step lower than C

  • Comment removed

  • Finally after 894398479 Hours of searchin whats the tuning for "I will not bow" i found that. thank you so much!

  • THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!11

  • @HornyMidgetBros Very welcome to you and everyone else, glad I can help.

  • I LOVE THIS TUNING!!!!! Sounds like, orgasmic!!!

  • a# sounds like a bass

  • I am wondering why ApGuitarTuner can't tune to A#.

You can finde every shit and make your own tunings but no A#.

Is there any program like that where you can do that?

(Yes, also postet to the Music Video in A#)

  • @ITler I couldn't tell you, I just tune by ear!

  • @ChromeCelica00 Ah ok, but thanks. I think I have to search if there is any program like this.

  • @ITler haha i'm so stupid...now i just did recognize A# is the same as Bb :D and i can tune that with ApGuitarTuner...

  • @ITler There ya go!

  • I'm more of a D standard and drop C guy, myself. But its nice of you to do this :)

  • I just popped a string trying to tune this this. I'm on a acoustic trying to play Behemoth lolz xD

  • funny ;)

  • sorry but who needs an A# Tuning Instructional Video???

  • @dlauren90 A lot of people asked me so I made this

  • @ChromeCelica00 ah ok but it´s not that hard to understand what an A# Tuning is, is it? ;)

  • I find to get the best of drop B or drop A is to use 13 -56 gauge strings, there rubber band sounding and are heavier sounding

  • does # mean sharp?

  • @southernmisfit Yep!

  • Yeah, good tuning tutorial, however you should put a gauge of strings in the info bar.

I would suggest 13's minimum, I use GHS Baritone, they are 14's and they are almost perfect.

  • @whatUsaybob Well I use 11s and I'm quite fine with that, although I tune to Drop B now.

  • @ChromeCelica00 Yeah I saw your setup on another vid, great guitar BTW!

    You use 11's because it's a 25.5 scale guitar, I use 14's on a 24.75, shoter means less tension

But really it's up to the player, try out different gauges, mix and match in ya need to. Keep rockin!

  • @ChromeCelica00 .11 would work for drop B but go 1 semi step lower and u'll need at least .12s

  • thank you so much... it's very heplfull ;))

  • @n8a9z No problem!

  • nice video it was just what i needed!

  • Haha that's my tuning! Jk lol I haven't heard anyone use it really and then I saw you using it lol haha but this tuning is so great isn't it? Anyways I'll stay in A# tuning but maybe just a little bit higher haha so it sounds more original and like me lol:) I like your music it's so awesome:)

  • hahah i recorded this on my mp3 player so i can listen to it and learn it by ear on the go.Thnx dude it was very helpful since i dont own a digital tuner XD

  • @Polter5 Glad it helped!

  • thanx man you saved me xD

  • thanx :D

  • cool, but why not just get a chromatic tuner? will save much time and effort!

  • @jewsh666 Some people prefer to tune by ear, it's quick and not everyone has a tuner, including myself haha, I'd rather just tune to someone else, or just get the first string from someone, then I can just tune the rest from there.

  • Makes sense!

  • Indeed! =)

  • Nice i always been looking for a video to show A# tuning so i can play in flames!! Thanks man!

  • No problem!
