If GM seed only produces a plant which then produces no seeds, what does Monsanto intend to do when their GM seed run out? These new plants do not produce new seed...
Either Monsanto can convince these GM plants to reproduce under certain conditions, or else they are spending massive sums of money to turn regular seed into GM seed. (Which, as the world runs out of regular seed, would be then unable to be 'manufactured'.)

I heard that they r stealthily going to lower the potency of vitamin suppliments rather than abruptly remove them from shelves so that they r worthless.
I would hope this fear spreading is only that. In the very near future, we will see if multivitamins are taken off the shelves of stores and removed from vitamin enriched foods. I'm gonna buy multivitamins for my family to last the next 2 or 3 years. I'm buying vitamins anyway, so getting more doesn't hurt anything. It's not that much money. The safe dosages that are being proposed for vitamins & minerals in Codex will be less than effective for nutrional purposes. Optimum RDA's (recommended daily allowance) i.e. optimum safe dosages, are already specified for vitamins & minerals. Why the need to reduce these to ineffective levels? Also, Codex is proposing that ALL food, even organic is irradiated. That removes the choice of a more nutrtionally balanced foods for those of us who would like that choice.
Now, I am not very into this stuff of GM food and now I wonder: What is bad about food that was genetically modified? Does it contain less nutritious elements or does it even contain poisonous elements? Or anything else?

It's mercury essentially, in very small doses, and is reportedly still being used "as a preservative" throughout the world, most notably via influenza vaccines. If GM seed only produces a plant which then produces no seeds, what does Monsanto intend to do when their GM seed run out? These new plants do not produce new seed...
Either Monsanto can convince these GM plants to reproduce under certain conditions, or else they are spending massive sums of money to turn regular seed into GM seed. (Which, as the world runs out of regular seed, would be then unable to be 'manufactured'.)

I would hope this fear spreading is only that. In the very near future, we will see if multivitamins are taken off the shelves of stores and removed from vitamin enriched foods. I'm gonna buy multivitamins for my family to last the next 2 or 3 years. I'm buying vitamins anyway, so getting more doesn't hurt anything. It's not that much money. Also, I haven't taken a flu vaccine since I got out of the military over a decade ago and I'm perfectly healthy & rarely ever get sick.

The safe dosages that are being proposed for vitamins & minerals in Codex will be less than effective for nutrional purposes. Optimum RDA's (recommended daily allowance) i.e. optimum safe dosages, are already specified for vitamins & minerals. Why the need to reduce these to ineffective levels? Also, Codex is proposing that ALL food, even organic is irradiated. That removes the choice of a more nutrtionally balanced foods for those of us who would like that choice.

I think Ian Crane's imagination has been working overtime. The Codex does NOT aim to make vitamins and other food supplements prescription only; instead it is all about setting guidelines for labelling them and defining safe dosages.
Nor will it seek to ban organic farming. Its aims are to have food properly labelled and defines things like limits for pesticide residues and risk assessments of GM products.
No doubt I'm going to be labelled a Big Pharma or Big Farmer shill but there you go.

There's another way to approach this information. Instead of simply believing or not believing, just use this information to be more aware of the world around you. Pay attention to food and drug laws and see if they have anything in the claims of this video. Keep an open mind, I don't know if I believe in this either, but it's good to hear all sides of the story.
