This track is from the Aviator and it's played by Vince Giordano and The Nighthawks. They can be heard every Monday and Tuesday evenings at Sofia’s Restaurant (downstairs) at 221 W. 46th St. between 8th Ave and Broadway, (ph 212-719-5799), adjacent to the Hotel Edison in Times Square NYC.
Not to nitpick, but to correct the false impression that Citizen Cane's Susan Alexander was based on Ms. Davies, Orson Wells wrote in 1975: "To Marion Davies she bears no resemblance at all. As one who shares much of the blame for casting the shadow of Susan Alexander, I rejoice in this opportunity.... Marion Davies was one of the most delightfully accomplished comediennes in the whole history of the screen. She would have been a star if Hearst had never happened."
Very nice tribute! Don't forget about Marion Davies marathon Monday on Turner Classic Movies! Starting at 6 a.m. and going all day long. What a great career she had.
