  • Yeah but lets face it, 3 ft high and Dea, still get played on my decks, even stakes - cant say the about grind date..

Hiphop had a different vibe in the 90s, playful, funky, thoughtful... Im not saying hiphop today is bad (PUTS, Damu, Insight, Time Machine, Starving Artists etc) its all good... But most is so serious, and also hiphops sound has changed, the beats are cleaner no bass, theres less eccentric and the MCing is less creative, less inventive, less dexterity. Its got more boring IMHO.

  • i would have given anything to be there seeing maseo spitting some lyrics with prince paul on the decks!

  • When rap meant something

  • Please don't talk about De La in the past tense... They're still here, they're still producing. Rap still means something.

  • exactly...hip hop heads are still here the artists are still tourin, people are still doin graffiti and breakin all over the world!
