Hot lights...welcome to the TV/FILM business. About your blueish tint from your camera, look and see if you can "white balance" it. This will adjust the lens to your lighting conditions as the lens is adjust to a factory preset. If it still looks "cold", you can get "warm cards" to warm up the look. Let me know how it works out. A tip from your friendly editor/camera guy.

Hey Justine, If you use Fluorescent light bulbs they actually cut down on heat pollution a lot. (and save energy!!! AND they last much longer... AND you can get them at IKEA ;)
