  • i was following this protest on the day for a project i'm doing, and compared to the police outside the bank of england, they were pretty fair and justly in comparison. there weren't that many really there either. this womans talking out her arse

  • As far as I know she has never talked out of anything else, she,s just an antisemitic U.S obsessed moron.

  • @flyya531 shes not antisemitic- anti israili is not the same thing.

  • Always if I read the word ''german'' I think it is just something against germans. Well, I don't know why. Maybe because of the German-Television. They say : ''The world hates you'' they say it very often til you think it is true. Then you hate the world back. (if you think it is true) but I don't know, what is real. So tell me. (sorry for my english, i'm still learning. (not with bbc) . I wish you all the best people, never give up ;-)

  • Too late - iraq's war purpose is achieved - time to start carrying slogans saying: "GET YOUR MOTHERFUCKING BASES OUT OF OTHER COUNTRIES BEFORE ITS TOO LATE"

  • I completely agree. The average person is oblivious that 787 American bases are in existance world-wide. What would American's think if there were Chinese, Japanese or Iraqi bases on our land hmmmm?

  • Great speech especially her points on violence. A couple of broken windows in the City of London bring down the media's wrath while the G20 leaders openly plot how to increase the slaughter in Afghanistan and ratchet up the barbaric blockade of one and a half million Palestinians in Gaza. Makes you thoroughly ashamed to be British. As for the Americans sod the lot of them. Racists and murderers who prove to be wimps when they themselves become the targets of violence.

  • being divisive and self righteous isn't going to help. Not everyone who lives in America is the way you have so sweepingly generalised. The leadership is responsible; we are ALL hostages. People are angry at Obama for not prosecuting Bush and being another warmonger. Citizens who support this damn war don't really know what is going on, and that holds true no matter what country you're from.

  • Agree. What makes me angry as an American is that people think that Obama is the cure-all. He might be infinitely better than Bush, but he's still going to need a lot of help to fix the problem in Iraqi/Afghanistan. As for the economy, no gov't will fix the problem, they can only fix the short term and delay the inevitable.

  • i can't say if he's better than Bush or not because he hasn't been in office very long, though what he's done thus far doesn't seem very different from Mr. Bush's agenda. i'm with you 100% on the economy; it's not the gov's place to run people's lives. I liked John Stossels' Ice rink analogy; check out /watch?v=iD03PFPNSPk

  • Incredibly clear, punchy speech - and a good defence of the right to protest too.

  • Good stuff.

  • Well said.
