  • you suck so much ...

  • @THEtether32 can i see you try this?

  • It may not be realism but this is an amazing style of art!

  • For a first realistic try I think its awesome. And also don't listen to haters, I'm sure they have difficulty to draw a stick man ;) Just a critique, the skin looks a bit blue-green so you should just try to fix that in the future :P But continue uploading videos and draw realistic people, later you'll be able to draw drawings that look like a picture :)

  • i like it

  • Yeah, though I do like your final piece, it's definitely not realism. Realism is making it look near-photo quality.

  • u suck man

ok its ur 1st attempt> u dont have to upload it <

  • @finisMundi333 your opinion would mean more if I could read what you were trying to say. Was that your first attempt at writing the English language? Good try.

  • @Hoolai i just wanted to say ...........STOP UPLOADING VIDEOS , YOU SUCK !!!! can u read it now?

  • Comment removed

  • @finisMundi333 mmm, nope. Not really. I would like to see some of your work though, and I do wish you had better ways to spend your time than to spread hate on two year old videos.

  • @finisMundi333 ... if they suck then why are you watching it?

  • I hate when people criticize someone else, when they probably can't do as half better.

It's mostly jealousy,or lack of confidence.

Don't let that get you down..i'm saying that as i saw the first part, and the comments.

If those people could 'spy' on many 'amazing' artists ,they'd realize that many of them trace a bit...

I realized that when i practically 'worshiped' this girl who claimed not to use references, and then found an exact same image as one of her art works.

    Keep on the work ;]

  • @XxSuzana95xX Thanks love.

  • I struggle with YouTube sometimes. But I wanted to tell you not to let the negatives stop you from this exciting digital medium. My response in video (Willie Nelson) landed up somewhere else in the responses below. Nice job, Nice interpretation, Hoolai

  • @gazornonblatt thanks. I haven't actually replied to very many comments made on this video since I added it two years ago. I'd like to think my technique has improved since then and one day I'll make up another video of me painting a person that'll be better. Thanks for your comment. I don't take the negative comments to heart, since I painted it so long ago and it was my first painting of a person. !

  • @gazornonblatt oops, im signed into the wrong account, but you get the point anyways.

  • Damn dude I'm just flat out amazed. Wow. hat off to you man!

  • Hey don't thake these critiques too seriously. "Realistic" doesn't have to look like a photo ALL the time. People that thinks that art has too look real or detailed all the time really doesnt as much as they think about art.

  • Realism? :) lol

  • her skin looks like shit ://

  • I assume when say realistic, you aren't including even barely matching colours in your implied meaning?

  • when I say realistic, I mean I'm going for realism. The colours I chose were for just my own interpretation of how I wanted it to look at the end. That has nothing to do with the style of the drawing.

  • @blackpkerstr Dont hate, IMO it looks exactly the same, but it feels like she interpreted the person to be sadder, still looks real, shes just feeling a little...."blue"....ehehehehe.

  • nice job. ;]

    song at 4:50?

  • you know what, I don't even remember! (Although I assume it's called take my breathe away) Maybe googling the lyrics will help :S

  • @Wiwijehn

Lange - You take my breath away, watch?v=RXPOyy0DYN0

  • i like your drawing better than the photo. but would be nice to see it a little bit longer at the end.

  • Very well done for a free hand painting on photoshop!! Though photoshop offers other (maybe faster/better) ways to create realistic paintings by photo or sketch..! Nevertheless 5*

  • u should of painted her face the right colour

  • i think its brilliant, keep it up, well done, 5 *

    lynda x

  • Fantabulous, THX

  • looks like she don't have arms

  • no hard feeling

but...she looks like an alien for me

  • it's much better than anything i could ever attempt, but the colors are very off for me.

  • Oke its no Nico di M. or Chris C.

but 4 a 1st attempt its not bad at all

    good job Holai :)

  • lacks contrast , the background blends in with the skin

  • what software and hardware was used to create this?

  • sofware? Adobe Photoshop 7.0. Hardware??? any good computer components that support Photoshop 7.0/:)

  • How do you put the real picture beside your drawing?

  • hehe are you serious? just open a picture and it comes up! XD

  • =))

  • sooo... youre gonna be a teacher? XD kdng

  • im gonna be uploading a pic of my first ever photorealistic pic EVER!! im so excited, please keep and eye out in the next couple of days

  • woo Spiderwebs!!!! No Doubt is effin awesome

  • I really hated the skin color (almost blends with the background) and face shape, but in all it's not bad.

  • I'm actually trying to learn photorealism...now theres a pain in the ass.

  • It's never easy to do realism. ._. Takes a while to learn.

  • Yeah. So far it looks pretty damn good for my first shot, I'm proud. Make sure to check it out, favorite my channel!

  • ha, thanks. Something good to remember.:)

  • good but why'd you do the skin greenish gray colored instead of like normal skin color?

  • I just ended up with a different type of colour scheme. A darker, not as realistic type.

  • very good painting, but anyone can see the result is nowhere near how the picture looked

  • alright, but I only used the photo as a reference, I didn't want it to look exactly the same..

  • Far from realism but keep on trying ;) Anyway getting face shape from the photo is really dissapointing try to catch the shape by eyeballing it

  • Good stuff. There are some issues of proportion that stick out a bit, notably the left side of the face being a bit too broad and the nose being too wide, but doing faces is really hard, particularly because you have to "unlearn" the part of your brain that is responsible for facial recognition. Good luck!

  • good work. I would suggest increasing the highlights and the shadows. were you goin for an eerie look?

  • Thankyou, and yes I do think it could use more highlights/shadows. I decided to just leave it how it is and move on to something else. Yeah, I never meant for it to seem eerie but I realized that it did kinda turn out that way, but I like the colours. I am a fan of darker art..

  • I like the colors too, it's kind of a half dead zombie looking thing she's got going on. But if you don't want that in the future, i've found it's easier to lay down a flat color that's inbetween your midtone and darktone colors. And to make a palette based on the basic 4 or 5 colors first.
