Their is a set regulations on air bags not to mention the air bag opened way to slowly. Also if you pause it just right you can see the air bag comes out from under the steering wheel from his lap. And air bags are extremely loud if she jumped from the horn she would have jumped from it too. They probably use a air tank with a butterfly valve and sound effects.
