and put in sminstall folder on media partition

the name should start with update-cm and end with .zip

For everyone having the "Unable to Find Device" error, you downloaded the Windows 64 bit version of the WebOS SDK/PDK. Download and run this: mediafire(dot)com/?wtp7p7u3k4a­0nr4

This will install the proper driver for your TouchPad and will fix this error.

Also, for anyone getting the "Unable to Find Specified File" error, you are trying to install CM9 and not CM7. Please type in "novacom boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller2" without the quotes.

@uNaNiMOuSKiDd That error is because your not changing your directory to the folder that novacom is in. Example: mine is is in this folder "C:\Program Files\HP webOS\SDK\bin" so in comand prompt I will type this in this exact order

"cd C:\" then press enter.

"cd C:\Program Files\HP webOS\SDK\bin"

"novacom boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller" or (ACMEUninstaller) without " " of course.

I was able to install Android on my HP TouchPad but i am getting an error message when i try to open Market. My WiFi is working fine but when i open Market after i sync my gmail ID i get an error message "Server Error". Assistance will be needed......

If your TP locks up with the Large USB symbol on the screen, just plug it in a regular outlet, hold the top bottom and bottom center button down simultaneously for 10 to 15 seconds until it reboots with the flashing HP symbol. I got stuck at the Command Prompt and could not get the CM 7 Android to load. I'll figure it out but I followed the directions to the letter. I am using Win XP vice Windows 7 so that could be the issue.

Worked perfectly, great instructions... I'll update I would make is to let people know it takes awhile (in my case 3-4min) before the two penguins show up and the cyanogenmod7 beings to install. I almost rebooted/disconnected the touchpad, but decided to read some comments first and saw where someone else said it took them a while to see the two penguins also. Otherwise everything was exactly as in the video (with the exception of newer files to download/install).

"Extract all" is not an option from the right click on the acme installer? I guess my computer is not saving it as a file? The icon for the acme installer looks like a disc instead of a folder? Anyone know how to resolve?

You installed gapps twice. You copied it in the cminstall folder, which acmeinstall installs it with cm7. Then you did that last step of installing gapps again. Which is not nesessary.

it didnt work for me. after doing the command prompt after the texts fly by on the touchpad, it kept rebooting to moboot screen. "cyanogen loading..." text comes up, but no animation follows, just takes me back to moboot. any suggestions?

I think I got the update installed ok. I hope lol, I just created a file on the touchpad called cminstall, I left the cminstall folder on desktop did not touch it. I transferred new updated files into new folder on the touchpad. Then I did the install like before. I saw it downloading new update so I hope it worked.

Back to webOS, the only thing I've done so far is set logging to minimum using ##logs# - Do the patches and Uberkernal 1.5GHz really make that much difference? I'm using the Touchpad mainly for browsing.
