The plastic stands you see in this video are actually card holders. They vary in size and are perfect for displaying toys on.

Good review, it's like Beast Wars before Beast Wars! I remember pestering the hell out of my parents for these, never got them.

Did you know there was supposed to be a Ladybug character created for the short-lived Beetras series? It never got produced.

I wonder if anyone has a few videos from the Beetras series these "bugs" came from.

Its actually a waste they didnt give a glimpse of these critters in the cartoon. It would have been swell if theres a story arc that the original insecticons were revamped to these deluxe insecticons. And really swell if they adopted the same color scheme as the original insecticons for uniformity

Its a common mistake for pronounce the name of that insect wrong. The correct pronouncation is "sic-caid-a"

Very cool review. I only had the black and purple insecticons as a kid. I always thought these were fake because they weren't in the cartoon. Oh and just so you know, cicada is pronounced like this :

The ci is like the s-i in sister, ca like the c-a in came, and da is like the d-a in dark. so si-cade-uh. We have them here in various parts of the US.

I still have Chopshop and Ransack in storage, though I'm pretty sure the accessories disappeared long ago. They look great, but the lack of articulation pretty much relegated them to cannon fodder when my friends and I would stage battles. :P

Yeah, I have those characters as well, but I thought I would do a Spotlight on the lesser known Insecticons before doing a spotlight on the well-known Insecticons.

But yeah, I still haven't made a vid on the other Insecticons as yet.

If enough people want me to though, I may do one yet.

These guys are cool..

Shame they never appeared in the cartoon, although i guess the same goes for the Jumpstarters & Autobot deluxe Vehicles as well.

Although i guess it would be difficult to explain their appearance alongside the regular Insecticons..

Although i totally love all the 84-85 transformers, the die-cast metal just made them look & feel a bit more special..
