@noeezyfluff Unfortunatly the tumor had got to her lungs therefore she didnt have pneumonia but was having trouble breathing because her lungs where getting smaller, usually they can remove a tumor but once it gets to an organ it was too late. So we had her put down as she would only suffer.x

I trained my science teachers rats to do that. They could jump about three or four feet after a month and a half. It takes a while to train that. I love rats.

There is a major problem with pet rats. They have a very short lifespan, develop cancer quite quickly. It's upsetting as an owner because they make great pets and it's always sad to lose them.

it varies as if you get them from pet shops yes they general are not breed peoperly and raised very poorly in these horrable rodent farms.

from a good breeder they can live longer and devolope deasese less

A little TOO well kept. If more people knew how intelligent they were, something might be done against live feeding of reptiles and such. Feed a snake a dog, it's a crime. Feed a snake a rat, it's "naaaature". People who watch rats die for fun make me absolutely sick and I sincerely hope they get bit by their cuddly rattler or constricted by fluffy the python!

I think the same. I own 2 rats and a rabbit. Youtube videos show sick attempts of humans feeding a big, live rabbit to a snake. It disgusts me.

@Xsuprio That's because it is natural for snakes to eat rats/bunnies/mice in the wild. And don't generalize all snake owners as sick people who like to watch animals suffer. Snakes gotta eat too, and its the only prey item they can be offered. And you'd be surprised...a fair amount of snake owners also own pet rats.

@nintendo1941 I am less against feeding dead. Though the way you put it, I think you feed live. The real issue for me is the WAY the rats, or mice, or chicks die. And guess what... I have had snakes and lizards. They ate crickets.

Your snake may be docile, but is it affectionate? I had a rat interrupt my video games by pulling my finger, because he wanted petted. I had a sick rat run into my bedroom and wake me up, because he had trouble breathing.

You know, I never figured out why but internet research says it might be genetic from inbreeding because his tail never seemed injured. If a rat runs in a wheel a lot while growing up, it can get a curly "wheelie" tail, and that's even cuter.
