you gotta have a better setup for doing spins, you cant go straight at the jump, you gotta time it, so that you can do half a curve and come of the lip when your pointing straigth off the jump. there is instructional videos on youtube if you care to see what i mean
Personally, I like Lake Louise of the two, by far. But my favorite would have to be Kickinghorse, though it's an even longer drive from Banff than is Lake Louise.
@CanadianRockies5 It's before Christmas break so it shouldn't be too bad, but the best time to go is in January after Christmas break. It's great cause it's colder and people tend to avoid skiing when the temp' in cold
@11xXDANIXx11 hey man, i came back yesterday and it was great, not busy at all, they also had a huge dump of snow so there was some sick powder shredding, thanks
great vid not a lot of vids that are 10 mins long that i watch all the way though!! going to banff in 12 days and i cant wait hope fully be lots of nice fluffy powder that i hear so much about. made me smile , will take my son out snowboarding in the morning, i live in wardle near rochdale and we have about 1.5 to 2 foot of fresh snow, its great apart from the 25 min hike to the top!!!!!

cheers for the info matey ......think buy the sounds of it wel have our hand full with sunshine and LL(but this means we have to come back for kicking horse :D)
man its not about the riders its about the snow, theres no need to say they suck, who knows if you're good or not, so you dont have anything to say about it. just enjoy the movie and savour the moments before we rip it up in the snow.

@CanadianRockies5 louise has better, longer runs. but doesnt get the best snow. sunshine has more runs but worse in quality and has better snow

@snowboardtillyoudie I prefer sunshine. Been to banff twice and been to both sunshine and lake louise on both trips.

Where are you booked into? I'm from the UK, living in Canada, would like to help!

yo man
were from halifax.... were stayin in the center of banff couldnt tell ya the hotel!! cant wait
belf666 2 years ago
Probably best to wait till you get there.... Sunshine is nearest to Banff. Also make sure to go to Lake Louise. Give Norquay a miss- steep and icy.
You should also look at going to Kicking Horse. Awesome mountain.about a 1.5 to 2 hour coach trip.
I wouldn't buy tickets in advance, you'll probably get dinged for a comission!
There are tons of good rental places in Banff. I would rent in the town, rather than at the resort for better gear and prices, but ask at your hotel!
Have fun!

Oh, and make sure you go to the Grizzly House Restaurant, a real laugh!!!!

lake louise is $75 for an adult, but the hill is sick. a great terrain park, and lots of fresh snow. also has a warm condola for cold days
kaydiscool 2 years ago
@kaydiscool Terrain park is tiny and raight at bottom on one face of hill, kinda stupid they should have random features all over the mountain ....
