  • Smfh. First time I've seen an argument about what mustang is faster. How in the FUCK can you even compare a fucking 4.6 2v to a 4.6 4v... Any fucking way, nice vid man. The 5.0 Stroker kit isn't a very good "upgrade" for the money out cost though. Throw some non pi heads on that bad boy though. About to do a 04 cobra swap to my 03gt, either that or take my uncles 01 lightning and do a lightning swap. Just don't want a whale Dick and the Eaton stickin out -.-

  • And I'm being kind by not bringing the raised port Ford GT/GT500 4V heads into the discussion. The 2V can be made quick, but the 4V can be made FAR quicker.

    Ported TFS 2Vs flow 263 @ .550

    Ported 03+ 4V heads flow 325/270 @ .550

    Yep, ported 03+ exhaust ports outflow ported TFS 2V intake ports. The low-lift numbers look even worse for the 2V.

    Ported 03+ - 241 @ .300"

    Ported TFS 2V - 189 @ .300"

    .100-.200" lift flow looks EVEN WORSE for the 2V.

    To put it in simple terms, the 4V craps on the 2V. Then there's the ability to alter centerlines independently on the DOHC setup, big advantage for the 4V.

    4V > 2V

  • @yonkersracing You're right of course, 2Vs can be made fast, but with similar effort a 4V will be significantly faster. There's no denying that well built 2V can beat a poorly planned 4V combo, but a well sorted 4V combo will ALWAYS crap on a 2V.

    Simple realities:

    Pent roof/semi-hemi chamber (central spark plug) > wedge or twisted wedge chamber

    Stock 03+ 4V heads flow 269 cfm @ .500

    Stock 2V heads flow 170 cfm @ .550

  • @branman50314 Oh, one last thing, the 4V has a much better torque curve than the 2V.

    Compare a Mach 1 4V torque curve to a PI GT torque curve sometime. Mach has more torque even down at 1500 rpm and holds on to it longerm usually with 30+ lb-ft at peak (at the wheels) over the 2V.

    Mach 1s have gone 10.9 @ 123 mph with nothing but bolt ons, stock long-block, stock cams. There's ONE stock head/cam 2V in the nation that's in the 11's, an 11.98 @ 112. 2Vs don't run with 4Vs apples to apples, jackoff. It's not even close.

  • I own a 03 cobra, and i love it. But anyone who gets on here and talks down on the Ls1 doesn't know shit about cars. Like I said I;m a ford guy but i respect the Ls1, I've seen some guys running sick times with minor work done to those motors. I have appreciation for all fast cars. Gm Ford or whoever makes it, we can't all drive the same shit. Take a car make it fast, make it your own, that's what it's about

  • you just can't touch 03/04 terminators.. they're retarded. 360 to 380 rwhp stock, with pulles/rear gears/tuner almost 500hp.. 60 HP from just a pulley is insane HP per dollar...these are some of the best cars to every roll off of ANY assembly line, period. reliable, FAST, classy too.

An SS vs an 03 cobra is usually a damn good race with the driver deciding the outcome, however in 04 they started supercharging the little bastards, and the 04 "terminators" will run over pretty much anything in their weight class.

  • so is your gt a 302 5.0, or a stroker 4.6 to 5.0? i know it says modular 302, but just making shure, im really interested on doing a swap from v6 to 302, but not sure what all i need to get to start

  • if you live in cali. you got to swap to the same year motor or newer. i suggest if you can go with the pushrod 5.0 its cheaper to reach 350+hp. but the swap will need fabrication. and if you can go carb. it will be less of a headache without a ecu.
