Awesome job! I made my mom read this to me so many times, stopping at certain pages for a few minutes so that the dogs could play enough. I still reference this book whenever cars don't start moving fast enough when a light turns green.
Oh wow! You did a great job! I am 49 and remember this book from my early childhood. I loved the pictures before I could read. I'm very sure the 3 dogs in the boat at night is what led me to loving boats now. Any idea when this book was first published??
you have a great voice for telling stories it kinda reminds me of raffti i loved this book i used to have the tape of it really good naratting you did!
i had the trooper by iron maiden playing on my itunes, which i was un aware of when i turned on my speakers. i thought quietknight chose that song to represent Go dogs Go.... i was very happy
When I was a kid, my dad read this book to me all the time. What you did for your son is amazing, and he will never forget it, just like i never forgot my dad reading it to me. great work
This is a prime example of how pictures can help kid learn to read ... and be ever interested in the illustrations. Thank for posting and good luck to your movie adventures. Brings back memories ... must go and get the book stored for years on my special children's book shel to read once more ... to myself. Strange to hear another person(s) reading ... when back heard only my voice. I think I prefer only one voice ... with the appropriate accents.
This has to be my favorite book from childhood. Have two boys now, one 11, one 7. They both know the story. It was astaple with my oldest. I even ad-libbed in between lines, and that became the norm for both boys. They just got two new puppies for Christmas...Aussie Heeler/Lab mix. Took a couple of walks today, and on the second walk, it was a "Go Dog Go" kinda day. Dogs everywhere. This is some cool stuff, thanks a ton!
Oh my, this brings back memories of when my son was little....I cannot even imagine how many times I read "Go, Dog. Go!" to him. It was a favorite, to say the least. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
This just made me so happy! I LOVE this book. it's been over 25 years since I've heard/read it and I remembered almost every word. thank you thank you thank you.
I am so glad this is posted. Go Dog Go is my daughter's favorite book & we lost it while on vacation. We have another one on order, but this video is getting us through while we wait ...
This is adorable. Love everything about it. Read it to my son when he was little. Now we read it to our Cockatoo. He loves it. He too enjoyed your version. He especially likes the sound effects. Thanks again!
I'm so glad YouTube has almost everything I ever searched for. I needed to watch this for a Uniersity level English exam I have tmrw. Don't ask. Thanks a lot.
Great job, my son loves this book and I was thinking about doing the same thing. I read it so much that it is permanently embedded into my brain! Great job.
We read this just about every night. Sometimes the full original paper version - sometimes the abridged and jazzed up pop-up version. On a whim I typed "Go Dog Go" into the search box and - yay - it exists. Great job. My son was giggling his brains out.
I especially love the tone for the sleeping dogs - that's just the way we do it too - it should be calming, but the anticipation makes him crazy - and that's fun too.
Do you know where I can purchase the book with the audio...I used to have this book when I was younger with the audio cassette and I want to get this for my son...he is really into dogs right now
Our son loved for me to read this book to him when he was little. He memorized the book and took it to school and 'acted' like he was reading it to the class in kindergarten. He is 33 now and getting married on Saturday. Where do the years go?
@noway222 I know what you mean! I'm 24 and I will never forget this book! I used to read it ALL the time and I still have what's left of my original but about 5 or 6 years ago my parents got me a new copy for christmas and I nearly cried!

I have a 13 year old and a 2 1/2 year old. We had this since my 13 year old was two. My little one recently left it outside and it got rained on. I think I was more upset than anyone else!! Anyway, my 2 1/2 year old loves this video. Thank you for this. We absolutely love this book....just something about it...it's a favorite.
Great job! Try to do 'Fox in Socks' by Seuss next. There's also a book by Eastman called "Big Dog, Little Dog" Maybe you can try that one too. Anything that keeps my daughter entertained I can really appreciate! hehe
The sound effects are a nice touch. I wish the transition from one page to another was a little quicker. But my son who is obsessed with this book right now seemed to really like it. Added it to my favorites. Thanks so much for the loving effort.
