My thought is...-- Martin D 15. They are brilliant sounding all solid Mahogany guitars. It looks like he had the satin finish polished and shined up. I play a D 15 it sounds the same as his. Magnificent.
His acoustic guitar is actually a 1937 vintage Martin 00-17. All mahogany like the 15's but much older. Don't make the 17 anymore. You can find 17's on e-bay but the 15's are as close as you can get to his. However, a martin is a martin and they all sound great!
i used to be like that. the first time i heard pearl jam i couldn't get used to eddie's voice, i found it too normal. i suggest you pass him the unplugged sessions along and he'll fall for him. worked for me.

@BenWorsley2 Sorry to be a downer but your flatmate might be on to something. I love PJ and have been a fan since their very early days, when Eddie was just jamming with band as a replacement for Wood. That said, Vedder's voice is technically very flat, which is why so many singers copy him (ala Nickleback, Creed, etc). He somehow makes great use of his limited vocal range, though. If PJ didn't write such melodic material, Ed's voice would be hard to digest.
No shit fullimmerzion - they are everything to me. Great new album, incredible song writing - adding to their legacy. Last tour was the best I've seen which says something about the band. I recorded 'The End' and watch it every day. PJ forever.
"Backspacer" it's a real Masterpiece. Eddie Vedder's just fantastic. Word & music are mixed with an intensity that just touch our souls. Great Pearl Jam. A wonderful, wonderful band!!!

This song is great and Pearl Jam has done a really good job with their newest album. The biggest hit by them recently is the fixer, which is also a great song.

I love PJ and have been a fan since their very early days, when Eddie was just jamming with band as a replacement for Wood. That said, Vedder's voice is technically very flat, which is why so many singers copy him (ala Nickleback, Creed, etc). He somehow makes great use of his limited vocal range, though. If PJ didn't write such melodic material, Ed's voice would be hard to digest.

then it hit me.
that's what makes his voice great.
it's different from everyone else.
and that's what's great about pearl jam by themselves,
they're not afraid to be different from everything else.

No shit fullimmerzion - they are everything to me. Great new album, incredible song writing - adding to their legacy. Last tour was the best I've seen which says something about the band. I recorded 'The End' and watch it every day. PJ forever.

I heard a person say this song was boring. People need to learn that just because a song is simple and not as up-tempo, it doesn't make it not as exciting. This song is great and Pearl Jam has done a really good job with their newest album. The biggest hit by them recently is the fixer, which is also a great song.

As I have grown up with this band, it is great to see they have matured also, their music seems to fit my life when I need it...thank you Pearl Jam, you have became part of the music of my life...I'm also a musician and a biologist and I find it fits in perfectly!
