Teams that become champions start out average and their form seems to grow each tournament game. We have done that once in the past. That was 1988 and then we became European Champion.

How can you say that? because whatever you say ,I've never seen the mls teams at the Club World Cup. The J-league teams have taken part in it two times ever but the mls have nothig ever. And Houston dynamo was beaten by Gamba Osaka 6-1 in Hawaii last year. This proves clearly that J-league is better than MLS.

Australia won that game because they always give it their all until the final whistle, while the Dutch can't be bothered to put in a real effort in friendly matches and figured they could just sit back and relax after taking an early lead through Huntelaar.

Australia belongs to Oceania, not Asia. But yes, they are a little better than Japan. Though you can't really compare the two. Their styles of playing are completely different; Japan is technically superior, Australia is physically superior.

Sorry, I automatically assumed you were talking about Japan. Excuse me everyone for getting off topic on this, but Asia however rich is still poorer than Europe economically and standard of living. Europe is indeed good in soccer, but we really have to consider the factors as to why they're so good vs. other country who's not as good. There's nothing shameful about losing a game when you're not playing fair to begin with. Now if Germany lose 3-0 to Netherlands, I would say that's shameful.

i dont think you have any idea about soccer or asia. I advise u to look up FIFA website and see fixtures of Korea vs European teams. Also, if you are talking about poor asian countries like Vietnam, Philipine, China, etc, you have to realize Europe also have a lot of small countries that are very weak in economy and low living standard. If you look at GDP per capita of Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, you wouldnt say ALL ASIA is poor. In fact, these countries are all in top20

uhh simple fact is korea is 16th economic power in the world and 6th strongest military power in the world. Given the fact that there are little over 200 UN registered nations, 16th is is well within top 10% of the world. Also, Sony, Mitubishi, Honda, etc of japan, and Samsung, Hyundai, LG, etc of South Korea are considered one of biggest corporate of the world. And if you wanna talk population and density? lol France and Britain are ranked 20th and 22nd in population while korea is 25th.

Education? Korea and Japan are among 35 nations that are above the OECD average. Idk, it seems like at least Korea and Japan are within top 10% of the world in almost anything. 50yrs ago, these countries were nothing compare to the world powers, but now these asian countries par Western economy and living standard. And if u actually follow soccer, u would know that there are many asian footballers in Europe's top teams like JS Park, Nakamura, etc.

Asian teams bring their specialty to the world of football (japan is famous for their perfection in midfield line, South Korea is well known for their set plays and speedy game play, and Iranians are known for their aggressive yet accurate plays).

it is true that Western European countries have stronger economy than Japan or Korea but not by much to say that europeans are superior to asians. Once again, one thing for sure is that HDI of Eastern Asian countries (except North Korea and China) have VERY HIGH rating and IMF, World Bank, and CIA rated South Korea and japan as world leading economy power house. In fact, South Korea passed Britain, Russia, and Canada in export and now is 8th largest exporter in the world.

Japan and Korea is in OECD's Development Assistance Committee. Which mean they are rich enough to help other countries. Do not categorize these countries along with poor countries of Asia, We dont categorize Western Europe with relatively poor eastern European countries. Yes, South East asian countries like Vietnam, Burma, Laos, Bangladesh, etc are rockbottom atm. But Not Japan, Not Korea, Not Asian Tiger nations.
