@im99mining It's not Wood's fault he got dealt to the Yankees. I share your hatred for the Yankees as well but if they happen to win the World Series again this year, I'll be happy for Kerry. There's no one else in baseball that deserves a championship ring more then him with all the injuries and terrible Cubs teams he's played for. He's a quality pitcher when healthy and more importantly a quality person and I miss him very much in Chicago.

I would hope he strikes lee out, then we would learn how good he really was, and Wood was the best pitcher on our team at the time, we should have resigned him (Oh and Carlos Marmol doesn't count)

Wow, He is a awesome player. learn your stats. Just because he started sitting out a lot because he was "hurt" does not mean he sucks. He is STILL a great pitcher. he was just a little wussy at the end of his cub days.

I'm a Cubs fan, but I don't think we have much of a shot at the Championship. We have a crappy bullpen, slumping hitters, and an injured Aramis Ramirez. If Lou can fix all of these, with the exception of Ramirez(nothing Lou can do about that), we might have a chance at the NLCS.

at chi-town, woody is already missed. since we got kevin gregg, we've had several blown saves this year. marmol blew one, and gregg blew 2. we need wood and DeRosa back. get rid of gregg.

not really...it isn't that Wood is a bad pitcher, it's that the Cubs know him too well. they know his pitches and whatever else. Derrek Lee pounded Kerry hard in the 9th. why? because Derrek knows that Kerry likes throwing the high heat. what happened yesterday was just the nerves of facing his former team.

Hendry did not offer arbitration. He knew Wood would rather come back to Chicago, and he didn't (don't ask me why) want to pay him even 10mill for a year. I don't hate the Indians, I like them. But he did not choose that over Chicago. If Hendry offered anything, he would have taken it.
