A very nice song, I love the visuals, but it is slanted and inaccurate. Prussia did not instigate the war, Austria and Maria Theresa did because she was an exceptionally sore loser. Fritz instigated the attack, but if he didn't, she would have. She surrounded Prussia from the North, South, and East, his back to the sea with a tempted Sweden across the way. He initiated attack so he wouldn't be stuck in a defensive war. So saying Prussia is a "War God" is not fair. He just kicks ass.

@Jubiliana She wasn't even using Silesia, all the raw ore in the region was just sitting there and Prussia had every reason to ask for it, they could only manufacture silk before the War of Austrian Succession, which was VERY expensive for the Prussian Government. And overall, Fritz had asked for the land in exchange for good relations and she refused because she felt attacked because of her sex. She was very short-minded and insecure.

On the other hand Fritz was myzogonist, who hated women because of a diease. Asked for a land for good relationship? It's a threat? Most of the wars started because someone "asked" for a land. It's normal for country to decline, even if the region is not important. If she would bow down to him, she would show her weakness. Both of them had they're defectes.

For cripe's sake, she dressed in funeral attire and went to Hungary . . .

But, that doesn't mean that country can give away they're territory. It's like admitting defeat without a war. It's politicaly the worst mistake, despite what we may think. If she would agree to this, she would depend on him. And well Fritz was manipulative too. They both were. He was better strategist that for sure. But he wasn't a saint.

@painoftheheart12 I read many books, and most of them wrote about this. He hated woman - it's not a theory, rather a fact. Theories are more about why he hated them, that's all. Yet you still can not believe me. It's not like I force you.

As I said, it's part of a much bigger conflict. And yes, Prussia didn't want to destroy the country itself, but Prussia wanted defeat Austria because of political issue in HRE. It's as I said, a big, complicated conflict. It's impossible to take just one side.

@SujuShanna What do you mean? Silesia is a land between Austria and Prussia. Today the area belongs to Poland, and the Germans living there were forced to move into Germany after the WWII. But in the past, it was a rich country with lots of people, agriculture and minerals.

The Silesians were Protestants, and therefore didn't like living in the Roman-Catholic Austria, and wanted to belong to the Protestant Prussia instead. That's why Fritz was greeted as a liberator when he invided Silesia.

She was originally Prussian princess and related to Old Fritz, but she got married to Russia's crown prince Peter. Though she wanted and did become real russian, I can't help but to chuckle about good Prussian genes having something to do with the fact she become to be called "great", just like Fritz.:P

Silesia is another funny thing, because Silesian actually HATED Austria with burning passion and WANTED to be part of Prussia. When Prussian army invided Silesia, the people helped them any way they could and even joined them. And when there was battle, the people would pray for Prussian victory.

So Gilbert is really mistrated in Hetalia sometimes. He didn't do "unspeakable things" to the lands he stole.
