Wow, that island really did dissapear fast! Menlo Park may be further from the beach than Tacoma, but I'd rather drive 90 minutes to Santa Cruz than 15 minutes to Puget Sound. It would also be nice to have a real commuter train like Caltrain, that runs more than four times a day like out Sounder train. I don't envy the mortgages in California however...
