Is there anyone who knows anything more about "Animal Fair". I've been wanting to find out some info about it. All I can remember is that the theme tune was that well known song.
Actually this isn't 1988 - it's 1989. I could date it precisely if Infax was online, of course, but more than one of those Children's BBC programmes (that's an extraordinary caption there) weren't seen until the autumn of 1989, and the captions also weren't introduced until that year. I think this is definitely autumn 1989 because I don't think Gran was shown after that.
Well, maybe not the BBC1 Going for Gold caption, as there's a similar one on the clip from the time of the 1988 Olympics, but the BBC2 Gran and Landmarks captions are in a style not seen until 1989. Also I don't think that style of BBC1 caption was used *on BBC2* yet in 1988.
yep just as I remembered jayne constantinis is the announcer and I had it at home before it was taped over by my addiction to the simpsons, great to see this again
I have such a vivid memory of that programme lineup. No idea it was so long ago!!
