I dunno if I could choose a favourite synth but the ES2 is definitely the best native synth that comes with any production software I have ever used (tied in first place with Sculpture I think).
Zelbra, Albino and Surge are awesome but the ES2 can do some really rich analogue sounds - Reason's Subtractor is pretty good at it as well but it doesn't have the modular capabilities of the ES2.
Nice tut, I'd like to try the Reaktor. My favorite synth right now is the Motu Mx4. Worked with it in college and I want to buy it, but funds are low seeing as I blew off all my cashola on a Macpro and Logic.
@SFLogicNinja hey will you do reaktor tuts? actually razor too? what do you think about razor? theres an add for it right under ur video here for me lol im thinking about buying it, got a few torrents for some presets to start with
@ozzlanda I don't really think that there is a truth in that - I'm not sure who told you. The harmonics of a given wave are not always relative to cents. In fact, it's srcambling my brain just thinking about it.
When you were talking about not being able to control the rate of LFO 2, did you mean that the modwheel couldn't start down, and then gradually rise through rates (i.e 1/4, 1/8, 1/12, 1/16, etc.) as the modwheel went up? Because if not that's gay, it'd sound tight to def on a sine with portamento.
i study sonic applications at university, and youve tought me in two minutes and twenty seconds, more than my lecturer has taught me about the ES2 in 4 hours of sessions on it :D
Hey, just wanted to say that I wonder what our world would be like if people in general start acting like you do. You are truly a great person sharing your skills with us. Thanks!
Just wanted to say thanks for your vids. I really think it's great that you share your outstanding knowledge. And you save me a lot of manual reading.
Thanks for all D. from Italy..

@jihadJackson No, the rate of LFO2 is not given as a target on the ES2
