  • Nice! I'm not a big portage fan either. I'm still developing a good system. I Solo trip all the time and i've never really been bored either. I'f you are getting bored than you may want to take up knitting. not tripping.

  • Great video! Brought back memories of my first solo trip. I agree with the don't eat in your tent statement!

  • looks like it was a great trip. was it your first one? did you train or are you a skilled paddler?

  • @futurhumen This was my first solo and I didn't train for it.... atleast not in a canoe. At the time I was pretty active at the gym, which helped a lot. I did a LOT of map research in advance having never paddled those lakes before. Guessed out a route then just went for it....

And am I a skilled paddler? I've been paddling a long time (since I was a young pup)...but this was my first chance going solo for any more than a km or two. Distance was about 75KM.

  • Way to go. I just did my first solo. You did great.

  • Nice trip Rob, don't eat in your tent though bad idea.

    Bears.

  • great vid, will have to try that food.

  • nice deliverance music. If I heard that in the bush I'd be running man.

  • verry nice video man! ive been into Algonquin a bit, live near by. But good job man!

  • Well Played! This weekend should be a cakewalk.

  • this is pretty cool rob. during july, i went on a 13 day canoe trip throughout algonquin park with Camp Tamakwa (i am a camper there). we went up to kiosk and over to opeongo and then back to canoe lake where the camp is.
