World's saddest Beagle

My dog has these allergies that start to act up in august, and last for about a month so she has to wear a cone the whole time! I'm sure my doggie feels for that one. :(

I remember when my guy had the cone. Looked just the same & even worse when a stray cat got the better of him & clawed him up.

95 stitches in 2 days, but the saddest part, he lost his tenderness to kittens.

Still a good boy though

also not a great thing for you dog to have on when he tries to reposition himself when youre sleeping. He likes to sleep in the corner so every night we would hear SCRAAAAAAPE SCRAAAAAAAAPE!!! at about 4am

When my sisters beagle got hit by a car (and lived! miracle dog) he had to wear a cone and a muzzle for 8 weeks due to a broken jaw.. Looked pretty similar.. at one point he d just go and sit in the corner as if he was being punished by having to wear the cone. Hope your puppy is better :)

Mine had some problems too - wore this darn collar. I hand fed him for some meals - so I wouldn't have to keep taking it off and putting it on. Hopefully Jaco is ok now.

@KenJWC aside from diabetes where we have to jab a needle in his neck twice a day hes is doing real good for a 12 year old. In fact he loves getting shot up and its creepping my wife and I out but I think its mostly because he knows hes gonna eat after the shot

@yellofury Wow. My beagle insists on walking regardless of the weather. The hunt goes on, rain or shine. Kind of nice though, it can be thundering non-stop and she has NO fear. Same with other loud noises, she is the only dog walking on the fourth of July. Our old female we lost was just like yours though, lots of quirks. She wouldn't drink from the water bowl if there was a hair or a speck of dirt in it!!

My beagle had to wear a collar too because when she was attempiting to get bread off our counter, (or as we think) she broke her tail and she had to get a plate and pins in her leg because she jacked it up. She hated that thing!!!

Hey, yeah ... nice bass, but poor Jaco ... my previous Dog, Duke had a tumor removed on his hind end and wore one of those for a while after it was removed ... an Elizabethan dog collar is what they're called I believe. Glad Jaco is doing better ... may he stay healed!!

I think that was the one my wife bought since the first one was too small and hes still figured out how to bite himself raw...fortunately we got a new vet and he has been cured of the skin problem

thyroid issue - the last vet wanted a conservative amount but when we had upped the dosage he was fine and his fur got real soft . When we wanted to continue the higher dosage of thyroid meds we were told no. We got a second opinion and the new vet said it can be done in tolerable amounts . So we upped the dosage again ...

after 1 week he was completely healed!!! go figure
