Things are this bad in Oregon and the Real unemployment rate is 26% here. No one is doing anything especially our President. All he says is that the US created 2-3 million jobs in the last 6 months which is a big lie. Things are getting worse and not better and so many people are not getting unemployment in Oregon and have fallen off the roles. If the Worksource would do their damn jobs and go on outreach to the businesses and tell people here that there is no work it would be a better thing.

Thanks for working so hard to inform us about what we already know. Maybe you could put more effort into sending some of those billions you keep spending of our money to feed those who are going hungry. Just a thought, but what do I know.

You know what would help a lot? Instead of throwing out perfectly good leftover food that just wasn't sold that day in the cafeteria or in the supermarket, it could be given to the hungry.

My supermarket has a garbage can right next to the prepared food counter filled with pounds of delicious food, and I asked about it, and I remember them saying they throw it out. I'll ask again, and hopefully, with a little persuasion, that food will go to the hungry rather than the dump.

I find it interesting that Obama was using the food banks to make a point about the need for greater government responsibility and programs to get people jobs, but the Feeding America website seems to be primarily devoted to the growth of the charitable food industry.

800 billion ... i read like 8 billion willl go to buy computers in universities.. how about .. since collages already have comps and students pay a lot to get in a stupid university..spend that money on food.. doesnt take a genius to figure that one out..
