Thanks. This was very informational. My 14 y/o son has been diagnosed with HCM. He is (hard for me to acknowledge WAS) an avid athlete. I've had him in organizaed sports since he was 8. This is his first year in high school and he was looking forward to playing for his baseball team. I am sorry he will miss this experience, but I dread the idea that something fatal could've happened if we hadn't found out his condition. Please get screened, it is tough to deal with, but at least we kow.
