It's not the guitar. If you listen to Bob Birch, his bass is out of whack also.... I'm pretty sure it's just the acoustics and recording.

I've heard rumors that elton hated this performance because the acoustics were horrible. He also said he would never play a concert at wembley stadium again.

Yes, there were technical problems before he started with Saturday Night's. The last number should have been Crocodile Rock, but unfortunately they let him play it because of the delay of the problems.

lol nah i know what you mean, but its obviously out of tune how can you not notice lol? listen to the opening riff, its well flat...and trust me im far from tone deaf lol. other people said the same thing on this video ages ago and i joined in and totally agreed with them. anyway never mind.

it's in tune trust me, if you had half an ear you'd realize he's palm muting most of this song with two different pedals.. that and he might just be bending his strings flat since he plays so hard
