im am trying to figure out how this machine works, so far i know all the basics, but there are two things i can not seem to understand, how does the wire stay tight when it is unwound at the back of that spool, it makes sense to me that it is being pulled out at a faster rate at the back than at the frount where the wire starts to come trough the hole in the torioidal core. and i still dont get how the wire is unwinding in the first place if the spool is moving in the same direction and thewind
@benjorgensen1 Step 1; spool clamps around core. Step 2; wire feeds onto spool- at which time, wire is physically around the core now, just not tight.
Step 3, wire comes sideways off the spool onto the core.
I need a power supply that from 12dc car battery source it will convert into +45-45dc using toroid ,,,,,,,,,,,, 1000watts rms at 4homs, then I will need to create a power supply of 2.000watts12vdcto45+45vdc optocoupled and with 60hz?
So, I am really geting a pain on *** in order to develop and understand this toroid coils ....
What I need to really know is what toroid size and what awg wires to use in this project? I just could not understand how to make the coils........
I cringe every time you move the output leads back and forth at the end of one winding. Wouldn't that much movement cause excessive fatigue in the copper wire, that could lead to component failure?
I want to see an interleaved audio transformer wound with this machine. If this guy's wedding band gets caught in that bobbin or any other moving piece of machinery he will stop wearing it at work> THAT I SHALL GUARANTY!
Want to make some money with that machine find out the design parameters for Stanley Meyers Voltage Intensifier Circuit Toroid and start winding em. I would bet you could sell enough on ebay to make up for the price hikes of today's economic crisis.
Awesome!

I would like to get in contact with you. I have some toroidal coils that I would like to get a quote on. Thanks.

huh! I always wondered how that was done. Thanks!

That looks like strip or flat wire you are winding rather than round, what grade is it?

I work on Gorman belt-head machines, where the wire tension depends on belt tension. How the wire tensioning work in this machine?

Thanks for the good job. I always wondered how a toroidal core winding machine worked.

What does a torriod do? Increase voltage? I need something that would do that. Or is it a transformer, and if so what is a transformer.
furChrist 3 years ago
It's a more efficient transformer. See the Wikipedia entry for "transformer".
SpareSimian 3 years ago
an isolating transformer is to isolate sensitive things from the mains feed, but they take in MAINS and put out the same voltage
codemsan 3 years ago
It is not transformer,it look like a chock to me.filter out hight frequency spike and keep magnetic line inside of it to preven futher interference.

read the description... itas a transformer...
