Robert Wadlow did NOT have acromegaly! His condition was called pituitary gigantism, a very similiar yet different condition of pituitary tumours. An actor with acromegaly is Richard Kiel who is also very tall and big, but a look at his face reveals the condition. Acromegaly causes the bones to grow wider and the face get's very unproportioned. Large forehead, big cheekbones, long chin, big nose etc. Although Robert had a big head, his face was not unproportioned at all. Again, he had gigantism.
