I sincerely wish that you wake up tomorrow to discover that you and your parents moved to the USA when you were a baby and the government forces you to undergo the ridiculous process of becoming a US citizen. I bet you would squeal like a pair of bad breaks. I also doubt that you would be willing "stick to the law" if that meant leaving the US for years while filing for citizenship.

Second, they can join the military and get their citizenship almost instantly, and 3rd, this is NOT my problem or that of the United States. We do NOT owe any one anything.... Have you taught your daughter that stealing is illegal, what about driving without her strapped in her car seat or that hurting someone is also a crime. Your neighbors did not identify themselves to the U.S. Government as immigrants from Mexico requesting citizenship nor did they disclose this info with their Mexican Government. So basically you are teaching your child that it is ok to break Federal Laws.

Basically this girl is saying that immigrants do increase the supply of labor, but they also increase the aggregate demand for the output of labor. Well the N.B.E.R. (National Bureau of Economic Research) would agree with her as they came to the same conclusion themselves. (Feel free to look it up... The study was titled "The Effect of Immigration on Productivity: Evidence from US States") Samantha is a smart kid. I hope she runs for office when she grows up.

What I dont understand is why more people dont blame the employers who hire/exploit immigrant labor. Illegals aren't hiring themselves. Economics 101...Read the chapters that explain the Laws of Supply and Demand.

I'll go out on a limb and guess that suncrafters profession is unaffected by IAs willing to work for less than half of his wages.

IAs have also taken the jobs that young adults used to work as a transition to better jobs. I worked as a busboy, waiter, lot attendant for a car dealership before entering the construction trade. IAs are happy to work those jobs for life at meager wages. Now IAs are taking over const.

What points? The whole video is based on misconceptions and a lack of understanding when it comes to economics and illegal immigration. The maker of the video thought he or she could sell his or her propaganda easier while using the cuteness of this little girl to propagate his or her message.

Yes. My daughter and I created the video after our Mexican-born neighbors (who were in the US illegally) and their three-year-old (American-born) daughter were forced to move to another town by a bullying police officer. My two daughters were good friends with the three-year-old and they were very disappointed that she had to go. My daughter asked me if there was something SHE could do. Creating a cool video (addressing the issue of immigration) was the best I could think of.

The person that wrote her script is assuming that everyone buys the same amount of goods. Demand can increase while the population stays stagnant. Illegal aliens do steal jobs because they are hired at illegal wages for jobs they aren’t legally allowed to have. This makes it so the employer for certain companies can hire people below the minimum wage.

If the illegals weren’t here it would force the employer to raise wages and hire legal residents. The girl also assumes that illegals spend the same amount as legal residents when many illegals live off of welfare programs such as food banks. Illegals also send a lot of their money back to their families in mexico draining even more money out of the US economy.
