According to Madonna, Benny & Bjorn didn't approve the sample right away. It took some convincing for them to give permission. And yes, this is the Motorolla ad. Nice try. Still a killer song, tho.
The version played to Benny and Bjorn by Madonna's manager was the final version including the sample - they've said so themselves. They said that they impressed that she'd gone as far as completing the track with the sample, knowing that permission could be denied for its use, but they loved agreed straight away to let her use the sample.
I like the Final Version, Bt im Im Also In Love WIthout It, The Sample makes it Sounds Discoish, and I LOVE IT, bt Without it, It SOunds More Modern and Funky
WHATT!!! are you all talking about!! This is a rip from the TV advert for the Motorola/iTunes phone released in October 2005. The first section is taken from the commercial, which also featured Madonna. The next clip is taken from a flash player intro for Motorola's website during the promotion of the phone. ABBA only gave Madonna the rights to use the sample on the song 'Hung Up', they did not give any rights for Motorola to use the sample - Therefor it was taken off for the ad.
@cdw1986 Once Madonna has the rights of ABBA's song, she can use her song whichever way she wants. She's already paid royalties and all. There are a few things we may consider here: 1) you don't know whether Madonna already had the rights to use ABBA's sample or not at the time of the Motorola commercial 2) By using the Hung Up's sampled version, she would have to distribute part of her earnings with ABBA, maybe it was her decision
Actually this is the demo her and stuart price sent off to the benny and bjorn from abba to show the guys what they had already produced and also to see if they liked that and it was also used as the tv ad for the moblie advert !!
Ok this is ridiculous and thats a lie. The origin of this clip is NOT a demo. This is the ripped audio from the unreleased commercial of COADF. This audio clipping was made after the shoot of the music video. clearly too late to consider this a demo. It was not released due to its vague promotion.
ok that was pointless..that wasn't a demo..that was a snipit clip thrown together...if your going to put something out there at least make it real and not waste our time ,you've all heard demo's from madonna, do you think she would do this >?? really...
Actually, this is kind of a demo because it does NOT contain the sample from ABBA's Gimme Gimme (a man after midnight). So we never know... that might be the version she would release in case the members of ABBA wouldn't give her permission to use their song.
If you pay attention to the song, you won't be able to hear ABBA's sample, so in a way, it is a demo version, in case they didn't allow her to use their song (Gimme Gimme - A man after midnight).
perhaps your right about the missing abba sample, but this a direct song clip from the unrealeased tv ad for COADF. It was released in youtube 2 years ago then taken out.
I like it when people upload videos and pretend they know what they're talking about
