  • come build me one :D

  • What happens when the trees holding the house up turns old?

  • why is there porno music in the background

  • If it's not WAY up in a tree, then it's not a tree house....

  • Looks good and all but.. Wouldn't it get a bit creepy sleeping in the middle of a forest alone in the night?

  • @00ir I find it less creepy to sleep in the forest than to sleep in my own house in the city.

  • @PseudoHuman16 fair 'nuff, what do u find creepy about ur city, crime or something?

  • @00ir Yes, something like that. In the end humans always are more dangerous than any kind of predator in the wild.

  • Awesome!!!

  • I wonder what the address is.

  • Is it right to use wood as material for tree house?

  • ...paintball...

  • "(For Adults) " ! dam ! i thought it was a location for porn movies or somethin. a bit frustrated ! i want my 3 minutes back NOW !

  • its all nice until a giant georgia pinecone falls on your head lol

  • Hey guys, it's only his backyard retreat, doesn't LIVE there. And in Atlanta, Georgia USA, there are few earthquakes and not much winter. It's a bit like having a pool house without the pool. It looks like fun.

  • If he has that much land why not just build a cabin that doesnt move when the trees grow. This is kind of foolish.

  • I don't think the winter is such a big problem - why should it be? He is even more protected from snow and wind by all the trees around him... .

What I wonder is how dangerous this kind of house would be in case of a really strong storm or an earthquake. Wouldn't the trees shake from strong wind or intensify the rocking motion of the ground?

  • Nice Tree House!!! I can relate...I built a log cabin in my back yard with mostly damaged trees from an ice storm. It is my escape, my "Man Cave" Thanks for sharing

  • so basically this guy built himself a little Ewok village to live in.... cool! but i bet winter is a nightmare lol

  • You're an Ewok!

  • its bullshit how you need like at least 300grand to waste on this kinda shit nowdays...

  • whoever delivers his mail must get payed so much lmao

  • husle and busle

  • It's amazing how fast those trees will grow and throw everything out of square/plumb/level. Still pretty cool.

  • Uhm... did I miss the kitchen? Where does he prepare his food? Also, Atlanta, while warm, still is prone to some frost. That doesn't look insulated enough to be good 365 days a year...

  • This is something you would expect from teenagers. I was expecting something a little more sophisticated. Its only a metre or 2 off the ground. what the??

  • @luvintherawlife bow bow, bow, bow bow, bow chicka wow wow.

  • But....trees grow and therefore change.... Houses don't....so wouldn't these have to be constantly re-modeled or even taken down and rebuilt to some extent?

  • i came here from a homemade flamethrower... lol

  • see yall didnt get it, IT SAYS TREE HOUSE LIVING (FOR ADULTS)

  • Although this is cool is is NOT eco..You green fucks are idiots..

  • stupid tree hungers what if the tree falls or lightning strikes the tree?

  • @pdxcarpentry What if ligthing strikes yr house, or a tornado blows of your roof, or you get dry rot or concrete rust? or sagging. What if, what if

  • What about making the tree house accessible for wheelchairs. like building a wheelchair ramp to the tree house.

I will help you build it.

I'm your Wheelchair Buddy John Banks will like to come visit you at the tree house.

And set up wireless high speed internet in the tree house.

I would like to meet in person.

    I'm Manuel wheelchair bound.

    I'm at 988 Howard Apt, 411 Street SF.94103

    My cell (415) 678-0226

  • Kudos to you for building a retreat area with respect to the environment. I however am a little disappointed that the media made this out as a total sustainable living project.

  • he probably gets visited by a lot of bugs & snakes

  • I like this concept on how to use what you got to relax and get away without harming nature any further. Also, I agree with "@sn1pe352" comments done on TheEpisteme 6 days ago.

  • im wonderin how hes gonna like it in december

  • lol at money cant buy happiness.

  • @CarlChub thumbz up

  • This guy pretends to be an environmentalist and bitches about chopping down trees, yet his treehouse is made out of wood...

  • @CarlChub .....and the metal, bricks and plastics..etc used to build YOUR dwelling spewed pollution into the air that causes long term damage to the environment during their production. He used recycled material when possible from a renewable resource that helps to purify air as it grows. I don't advocate returning to the days of mass destruction of our forests, however. There are many resources for recycled materials that are being bulldozed everyday.

  • @10yearvet Nobody's ever died from air pollution, fool. Congratulations, you're another weak minded believer of of "global warming," the grandest farce of all time. Or... is it "climate change" now?

  • @CarlChub No numbnuts! I do NOT believe in "global warming" though I do believe in climate change considering the earths climate has a long history of changing itself. I also know that carcinogens and other crap spewed into the air HAS helped to increase bad health issue refuting your claim that no one has died of air pollution.

  • @CarlChub Yo moron, have you ever heard of Donora PA. Oct. 27, 1948, 20 dead. London, England December 5 - 9,1952, at least 4000 dead. Of course you and your ilk believe that the flat earth is 4600 years old and that Perry and Bachman actually have brains!!

  • Comment removed

  • Enviroment? At least my house isn't made of cut up wooden trees.

  • @MalcolmHeardSB Speaking as a carpenter with 35 years experience in many stages of construction I can tell you that what it took to produce the materials for your house did MANY more times the damage to the environment than him using wood and recycled items to produce this!

  • Now a Cougar lives in that house...the Guy's nowhere to be found .

  • Have 6 figure job.

At least several acres of land.

    Build a big treehouse.

"Live" in it when the weather is nice.

Go back your real house with central heat and a/c and plumbing, 50 meters away when it isn't as nice.

  • @TheEpisteme people like you find flaws in everyone's ideas and it's really getting annoying for you armchair warriors to keep giving your flawed-egotistical interpretations on other people

this man actually went out there and accomplished something, all you do is pollute our earth with every toilet flush and piece of garbage you throw away, every time you start your vehicle and breath you take

The water-cycle system is getting tired of people like you, dont say anything unless its Nice.

  • @sn1pe352 I'm all for sustainable green living, but this isn't it. This doesn't reduce his carbon footprint or anything like that. He just built a neat place to hang out in his back yard and still lives in his real house with air conditioning and everything, and its not something an average person who doesn't have 6 acres of land and all the money and free time it takes to make something like that. Looking for flaws helps distinguish between real solutions and 'feel-good' ones that don't help.

  • @TheEpisteme Is that sarcasm I read? :)

  • like if you hoped he got hit by a car at the start :D

  • oh no seven trees!!!!!! lol you used more than 7 trees of wood to build the thing!!

  • how is he supposed to get groceries and stay away from the oh so hectic city

  • Ill get my parents to buy me one so i have a nice secret place to have sex and play black ops

  • Star Wars episode VI ;).

  • hippy house

  • press 678 and he says salvage any video

  • Ein Baumhaus ist ein Traum so vieler Menschen vorallem Kinder... Die Besten Grüße BaumHausBauen

  • I bet the bugs are a bitch in the spring and summer.

  • I have watched this video many times. A lovely peaceful 'feel' to the environment and dwelling. How I appreciate the choice not to "level," clear, etc. I despise the fact that we thoughtlessly do the latter in modern-day. We humans have become so over-domesticated...seeking to impose our will upon all of life other than ourselves (and even upon each other). No doubt we will be humbled by 'life -' an outcome in which I think we are in dire need.

  • Crap. Now I have to find younitehumanity's comment...

  • @TheOrnithos Who made the reply your replying to!!!!! :Osfojefjesfojesofje;sfj

  • @TheOrnithos what was it?

  • no mosquitoes at osa mountain village costa rica check it out

  • You could build an entire block of flats around that tree!

  • That guy belongs in a tree...He's nuts

  • i just want to live in that treehaouse very badly! its beautiful

  • wat about an underground earth house (not a bunker) with a hot tub, those submarine cameras that see out the surface, basketball court, pool, plasma tv, etc :)

  • ths would be great for a nerf war but the furniture would make it look gay and retarded

  • @legobuilder2409 Oh yeah Im sure furniture would have intentional sex with its same gender.

  • It looks really cool, but what happens to all the furniture when it rains 0_0

  • Nice design,i'd easily live in it,but HE doesn't live in it, so it's like a smoker telling you to quit smoking,...and higher up would be better.

  • just the ants and other insects get annoying and will be a real pain in the ass

  • @kongomueller1 couldnt he just light a fire to scare animals away?

  • that would be sweet for airsoft

  • should be higher so you can stop people from climbing into it.

  • Sneaky Dog is Sneaky. 2:33

  • Where's your cupboards for clothing, stove, kitchen facilities, wash room etc etc

Do you really think this fat cat architect & his family live here??....some how I very much doubt it......classic case of greedy architect with more money than sense

Sorry to burst your bubble kidda

  • cool

  • its pretty cool!

  • Cool!

    BURGERKING4EVA! <3

  • Nice....yurts are good too

  • Agree peppertea55 Another thing that occurred to me is (though this is lovely I admit) that he has all this as a "retreat" (on top of his main home) when most people dont even have this or anything like to call there own.

  • Meetings....? meetings about tree houses and no girls allowed?

  • Why not just allow embedding? You only get more views that way you know?

  • why have a regular home when you can have a tree house.

  • this dude is way cooler than TheWeatherChannel

  • the only thing id be worried about is people breaking in if ur in the middle of atlanta. id hate to come home to a dirty ol bum sleepin in my bed or some shit

  • i would love to live in that :D

  • peice of crap tree house

  • You think this is cool? Check out treehouses. com... now those are some real treehouses about 30-40 ft off of the ground. and you can actually go and stay there and do zip lines and horseback riding. talk about killer!!

  • i wonder if they have to pay any bills??? for the tree house to be there and i wonder if you can live there in the winter??

  • how much? :)

  • awesome

  • how does he take a shit run pipelines up threw the tree?

  • @kickin313 lol or else there's just like a hole in the floor.

  • I live in the south as well, how do you deal with all the bugs espicaly the misqitoes? That must suck!

  • No mowing the lawn!

  • its like 2 feet off the ground. oh and love the porn music at :30

  • @luckylongarm1 you should really stop watching porn from the 90's

  • love the porn music at :32

  • imagine blazing out there <3

  • who??? Mike Badass?

  • music is crap, and what about tree growth.

  • MTV CRIBS YO

  • Weed smokers paradise....

  • Ok, this is cool and all...but there are two problems with it. One, trees grow so your pretty much screwed and two, trees die so your screwed again.

  • @littlelogcabins ah but trees just get taller from the top so the tree house will stay in the same spot as the tree continues to grow and trees live for a long time.

  • This was not clearly thought out!! Dude if someone walks in while your sleepin they can jack ANYTHING!!

  • i bet this guy really seals the deal when he takes the ladies back to his tree house...

  • going to liv like this

  • The music totally spoiles the rest and relaxation for me !

  • dude...but you still put the dart board on the tree...where is the respect???

  • I want this. Absolutely special

  • i hate the fact that all the trees in my backyard died so we took them all out and now i cant build a tree house )=

  • I would love to chat with you about the tree house if you're interested. I'm a tree house builder and arborist and love to see the different ways people build treehouses.

  • Very Cool!!!

  • I feel bad for you if you have to escape from life.

  • @strawberry5161 u r oh so dum dum dum dum dum..... dum weeeeeeeee dum ... bye bye dum dum.

    dum

  • @strawberry5161 you should move on with your life. these comments were posted a long time ago... your livin in the passssst mannnnn

  • Interesting subject.

Horrible video camera work. Panning too fast. Zoomed in too close. Focused too much on insignificant subjects. Dizzying panning/spinning and rapid subject-changing. Etc. After watching a 3 minute video, I still don't think I've had a good look at it.

  • My dream: I want that guy to design a place like that for me, but i would want it to be used as a health food restaurant and serve only health food there. I would serve food people love that they usually wouldn't see in a restaurant and i would try to go as all natural and organic and wholesome as possible. I would plant a whole bunch of trees around it, so that people could enjoy nature. Remember this is just a dream...

  • thats a swiss family robinson tree house

  • Awsome this is in Atlanta?? I want to live in a tree house full time!!

  • my tree house is cooler.

  • heh łatwo okraść....

  • I'm the builder & I wanted to respond to some of the questions in the comments... The t-houses don't ever get wet inside. I think it's because they're generally open to air flow and rain runs down the trees rather than pour into the structures. I keep everything out there year round. I don't get animals or even mosquitos. As for height..there r 7 trees involved and they move quite a bit in the wind. Too high and they wouldn't have lasted their 12 years. Built on a hill so that gives some height.

  • Who picks his ticks off at night?

  • Not crazy about the hyper talking head, but the story is cool.

  • i'd like to see his actual house. i bet he chopped down the trees, leveled the ground and built a big ass house.

  • This would be so peaceful .. Living in a luxurious tree house in Alabama ...

  • What happens when the tree roots rot away.

  • Comment removed

  • So what is it like to have acorns fall on the roof every 30 seconds? What about birds shitting on the house?

  • @younitehumanity fuck that negative shit, a treehouse is my dream!

  • @superdope72 Then keep dreamin'. Maybe you and your monkey family can live in the trees one day.

  • @superdope72 thats true

  • must REALLY suck when it rains...

  • What a facade... No running water, bath, sinks or showers, no heat or A/C... I guess he just parks his vehicles in the woods somewhere.

If any of you actually think this guy "lives" there, Ive got beachfront property in Kansas for ya.

  • I'm not an environmentalist in any sense, but I wouldn't mind building my home around trees instead of knocking them down; however, keep in mind, people, it's probably expensive.

  • You build a shithouse in the middle of a load of trees in the city, so you can go and find yourself. And you find yourself right in the middle of a load of squirrels and rats. Fuck that for a game of soldiers.

  • at 1:14...dont roll off

  • Seriously, why do people have to destroy trees when they can just build around them?

  • @MissMysterics true i want tree house to live in

  • We have way too much crap in our lives, simple living is the way to go.

  • this thing is like 5 feet in the air, i wouldn't even consider this a tree house

  • can u build me one

  • Are you tired of all the noise pollution and the air pollution, and the constant danger of being run over? Try not walking down the middle of the freeway, dumbass.

  • Comment removed

  • This house is very inspiring, I love it!

  • This house is very inspiring!

  • what if it rains

  • @hybyhibi he has a roof dumb ass

  • @jordanXbillings but looking at the design rain can still get in where he sleeps

  • Instead of " The 40 Year Old Virgin" he could make a movie " The 40 Year Old Kid " lol

  • i wonder if he ever found a animal sleeping in his bed ......like his wife jk

  • hobbo house with windows :D and some stolen silk stuff :D and stolen bed 2.. and some other.. stolen things... ah fuck this.. the whole house is stolen :D

  • 17 people hate tree houses. Some people are just uncool.

  • bugs and more bugs! how could we sleep there? they would be crawling all up on you at nite :(

  • @faheemthedream2007 Only for those who feel 1 with nature.... :D

  • @soccercat1 eeek. are you that type? -.O

  • Very Cute! I Would Like To Live There.

  • I think that rather then having a place where to retreat from your everyday life, it's more important to have a kind of life where you don't need a retreat.

  • @peppertea55 doesnt matter what you do, you will always need a break here and there... trust me. Doing the same thing all of the time can make life seem miserable.
