I visited China recently as a reluctant tourist and I have to admit I saw only baby, infant and toddler boys. I can remember seeing one affluent family with a girl about 8 with a baby brother but aside from that, no baby girls.
I did see a lot of teenaged girls.... in the black markets that sell fake purses and clothing. They work their asses off to make a few dollars on each sale. it's very sad.

Oh my god. I'll never live another day of my life without thinking of Mei Ming.. I have a disable child, and I adore him.. I've heard that it's not just girls, disabled boys are there too. This is awful, I want one of those kids.. My heart is on fire to adopt now. <3 ty scottish..

This is so sad, how could anyone do that to the poor little children. I wish it would have hapend a mirical to save Mei Ming and all the other poor children. Does anyone know how it is today? is it still that bad at the orpahange?

@AlexisDyr This is only towards baby girls as boys are not as much in Orphanages do to the desire to have a baby boy to carry on the family name. Boys are even kidnapped and passed off as their buyers child. But this video series is not limited to one orphanage it a national issue!!

@kandykrazi564 Well no you do have people in China who care but sadly those that can really change things don't care that being the corrupt communist officials who implemented such a hideous policy such as this 1 child policy. The party is too cowardly to do it right and help the people feed themselves that they do this which causes issues like this and then they fail to stand up for their smallest citizen. Communist party of China is just a group of cowards and criminals.

But that is why the rest of the world has to stand up to China and demand they change their ways not just with their children but with all those under them thumb such as Tibetans who are routinely beaten and tortured and thrown in prison for exercising their human rights and then beat and tortured even further behind closed cell doors.

@jrcorperated Short of writing your government or the Chinese government (Not that that does much good as they know and don't care about it) or boycotting Chinese products there isn't much you can do best thing that can be done is to share this video with all your friends so more learn of this and then maybe as a greater force we might stand a chance of changing things.

personally if i would have found mei ming, i would have taken her with me. i wouldn't have cared what anyone else would have said. that poor baby girl did nothing to deserve that. bless her tiny heart.

@LillyLavine Agreed though I understand why the film crew did not as they wanted to make sure the whole story got out as Mei Ming is not the only little one who this is being done to. Whats the saying. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one. While it's sad she died perhaps the film might spur people to act that might save 2 or 3 or who knows how many more that will undoubtedly follow.

dear god, that poor mei ming....i dont know what i would have done if i had been one of those people...maybe i would have ended her life to stop her suffering for the next 4days.....maybe i would have stayed in a vidual and stay at her side untill her life disolved away..thank you for posting
