WOW! you are really inspirational...don't know if your inspirations will work but will give it a go!
Love the stringed art - used to do it back in the 70's....you make me laugh with your song...just heard it the other day on Big Bang...never miss it...tfs
Wow.. There is always a great deal to be said for the artist who leaves me sitting there in awe, with my jaw just hanging wide open, staring so close and intensely, at a YouTube video!! LOL! Curious to see how your book comes along. I liked the watch idea!.. I'm excited to start my own junk/art journal! I have to admit, the concept of layers is still a little strange to me, as I see so much beautiful stuff, just buried under more layers! (0; I'm still TRYING to understand that! ~tina
I adore your creative ideas! Btw, does the black piece of paper you found in the road say "Ratten Monologe"? In German, it means "rats' monologues". xD
I am currently working on an altered book.... like for the last year. :) I've also done them with my kids at Afterschool. They love it. You can rip the old pages out, recycle them and insert new clean pages into the old hardcover. The kids painted the old cover or decorated it and had a new book to illustrate.
I love your work, Gary. Can't wait to see the progress on the altered book.
I have a question about using transparency film for transfers. Can you reprint the transparancy after using it? If not I wonder how I can reuse it another way.
You are so inspiring. I will video some of the work I have done after being inspired by you and posting it.
Good to see you back at it Gary, purr purr purr . I just had to put my kitty down Im kind of sad when I think of a kitty :(... Your book is so cool, Lucky you to get all the paper from the streets in Germany. Are you adding some photos?
Holy Altered Book Batman. I love it... love it ... love it... ALL. Great idea on the puzzle.. I can see that and it's looks good in my mind... can't wait to see.
Love altered books. Made a bunch to send out as traveling art journals back in 2007. Oh I loved that little bird! String art was real big here in the U.S. back in the 70's. So retro and coolsome Gary.
Wonderful Gary. Please keep us updated about the process of the book. And the string gave a new dimension to the whole work. Great! Im excited:) Thanks for sharing.
