When she was recording this song in Capri Italy with songwriters David Foster and Diane Warren, Mariah was dating latin singing legend Luis Miguel. This song was originally composed in Mariah's vocal key. They decided to add Luis Miguel to the song. But it wasn't in his key. It sounded so bad that Luis sent the demo tape back in pieces to David.
