  • oh my god. Some people are so arrogant and brain washed by main stream zionist media.

jesus was from nazareth not bethlehem and for gods sake he spoke aramaic and most

people in nazareth were arabs. Please check out wiki for the evidence. zionists suck.

  • @OpalSerpent

wow. you're so deep into your white supremacist indoctrination that you don't know the first thing about history, reality or religion. but i'm not going to waste my time educating you. you wouldn't be able to think outside of your racist brainwashing anyway. let's just hope you never escape from your montana holdout.

  • @lamaddussa on the contrary I like everyone else wants the truth. Calling me names is not the truth. I think palestinians rock so I can't be a white supremacist like you make out.

  • @OpalSerpent

glad you like the palestinians, but you're still a phenomenal ignoramus in regards to history & religion & sweeping racist conspiracy theories.

  • @lamaddussa And why is that? after doing enough research you see there is a

world wide zionist conspiracy. Let people decide for themselves.

Googling false flag terrorism will give people an idea why governments do things to

their own people. I suppose you think the mk ultra program was a conspiracy.

Putting people in coffins and letting them die to see the end results and other

staggeringly horrific things. They were only discovered from accounting records

    because the truth was concealed.

  • @lamaddussa So deaf and blind, explain why nsa only released these documents

last year. If you haven't heard about this story then you are eyes wide shut.

I suggest you wake up to the lies we are told.

    nsa foia et communications 1957

type the above into google and take a look at what your government is trying

to suppress. You certainly don't hear about this on the news now do you?

    but I don't know anything do I?

Also I suggest people check out the 911 missinglinks website and watch the doc.

  • "So, let's pretend that god is real.." (classic!)

  • Why are atheists so insecure, fanatically intolerant, desperate that no one disagree with them, zealous to proselytize and ridicule everyone into their faith? Why does it threaten their fragile belief system if someone believes in God or an afterlife? They can't be very secure in their beliefs or they wouldn't care what anyone else believes, and they wouldn't be out to destroy and outlaw faith and hope.

  • @carlosperdue

first, this was meant as a parody or joke. And secondly don't make blanket statements, many find it highly insulting. I consider myself an atheist and have no issues with others believing in god. Taking offense over a joke shows that perhaps you are insecure in your own belief system. We most certainty aren't out to destroy faith and hope. There isn't a church for not believing in god that we all attend, or I keep skiping services, so there is no doctrine. We all have morals tho

  • @NekoSohmaSan You say don't make blanket statements, then you say "we, we, we all" as if you're the same. Nice to see a tolerant atheist. I know a few others. But most of your fellow true believer nonbelievers here don't share your POV. Some atheists would love to outlaw Christianity in the USA like commie atheists did in so many countries, but they can't do that here yet so they spend their lives abusing the legal system harass & suppress freedom of religion any way they can.

  • @carlosperdue Atheism is not a "faith" we have proof for what we believe, we are not secure we just care about you. we dont want you to waste your time and life on lies and superstitions. We care because we are Humanist, we care about HUMANS. You being a human means we care about you and want to help you see the lies& corruption & falseness of your blind faith. We want to turn you, a mindless sheep into a freethinking human, thus making you more human.

  • @TheDoctorWholigan Atheism's a faith. There's no "proof for what you believe", genius. You talk about freethinking, but you're the opposite

An agnostic is rational; admits he doesn't know. A Jew is rational; admits it's a faith. An atheist can be rational if he admits it's a faith

You're not rational. You are a smug, not-too-bright fanatic, claiming proof of a negative that can't be proven

Go ahead, though, what's your "proof" there's no Creator? This should be amusing

  • @carlosperdue well god probly doesnt exist because

    1. , amazing atrocities like the Holocaust + AIDS occur without any response

2.God has never left any evidence of his existence on earth

3.The resurrected Jesus has never appeared to anyone.

4.Almost alll faiths mention magic a clear marker of imaginary (magic does not exist) if magic does not exists the pillars supporting religion fall

5.the Bible tells us in many places that God answers prayers, but a simple very of stats shows he does not

  • @TheDoctorWholigan 1st you claim proof, now you offer *indications* there "probably" isn't. More rational

1 Consistent with a Creator who doesn't fix all mans' problems

    2 Didn't sign a rock? So?

Is there reason to believe, eg due to extreme improbability of irreducible complexity of life, similarity of near death experiences etc? Yes

3 That's your believe; it contradicts biblical and other accounts you can't disprove

    4 Translation please

5 Stats on prayer results? Where?

  • @TheDoctorWholigan Another caring "humanist" elitist atheist

You know what's best for us

Where "humanists" had the power, e.g., Vietnam, China, Cambodia, USSR, Mexico, they banned competing faiths, jailed or killed millions who wouldn't go along "for their own good". Far more than were ever killed in religious wars & oppression

But when your pals killed a priest or a Cristero resistor, he was better off since he couldn't waste any more of his own or anyone else's time

    Thanks!

  • @carlosperdue lol they were not humanist. in fact the only really purpose the USSR pushed for atheism so hard was to focus praise and worship to the upper party, this is where the theme in George Orwell's "1984" came from.

  • @TheDoctorWholigan oh and negatives effects of religion hiding child rapists, the "adoption" ie stealing babies in Spain, the inquisition, just about every war ever, i could really go on all day. atheism is only an ideology, because there is no real "church" or hierarchy it cant be blamed, in the case of USSR the "atheists" in rule were morally horrible people. I could use the same fallacy on you with Hitler, he LOVED talking about god and Christianity.

  • @TheDoctorWholigan Wrong and evasive. The atheists I referred to all considered themselves humanists and had a smug elitist "we know what's best for you" attitude.

  • @carlosperdue i know that i would rather be enlightened to rational thought, \you also a human would too or i assume, if you are happier living how you are now i fine with that. i really don't care if u believe in god but i think organized religion is horrible to society. i hope your happy believing what ever honestly. but organized religion drives me crazy, from my experience it just creates hatred and bigotry. i think Christianity is totally wrong.

  • @TheDoctorWholigan I need a translation on everything up to "i fine with that"

You don't care what I believe, but I shouldn't be able to associate with others who believe it too? (i.e. organized religion)

ALL organized religion is horrible to society? You equate Christianity with Islam ... burkas, stoning for sex, sawing off girl genitals & Jew heads, outlaw/murder other faiths, death for converting from Islam?

How is Christianity "totally wrong". How does it create hatred & bigotry?

  • @carlosperdue Um, Christianity and Islam are basically the same thing. Both support the idea of one all-powerful god, and both follow a novel that was written by some person thousands of years ago. Christians have persecuted Jews since the beginning of Christianity, even though, oddly enough, Jesus was the king of the Jews. And Christians used religion to justify the massacre of 3/4 of the Native American population. Christianity's history is nothing to be proud of. You should do some research.

  • Um, no they're not

Such persecution was a perversion of scripture; that's why you must use past tense to discuss wrongs committed in the name of "Christianity"

Christians are now Israel's best pals

Sketching the Indian tragedy as all about Christian vs The Other is gross misrepresentation

You can use PRESENT tense to discuss Islamic oppression, intolerance, slavery, execution of Muslims who leave Islam, etc, because there was never a time when those were not true to Islam

  • Christianity's history has a huge amount to be proud of

I'm not proud of the wrongs done in the name of [false] "Christianity", e.g., Inquisition, pogroms, etc but that NONE of that was condoned by scripture

To play your game, atheism has a far worse history than false Christianity, courtesy of atheists murdering over 100 million people in the 1900s

These killers really were atheists, whereas the Inquisitors were not true Christians

You're the one who needs to study

    -Owner

  • @carlosperdue Except atheists never killed in the name of their lack of god. In fact Hitler, who is one of these atheists Im sure you are talking about, often referred to god in his speeches.

  • @BS61688 Yes atheists did kill religious people because they were religious, dumbo. Study some history before yapping. Anyone who tries to paint Hitler as a Christian is a throbbing ignoranus

  • @carlosperdue sorry, hitler was a devout catholic...you can look it up. the swastika is actually derived from the cross, in fact

  • Hitler a devout Catholic? No, but you're a devout ignoranus

"Per historian Rissmann, young Hitler was influenced by Pan-Germanism, began to reject the Catholic Church, receiving Confirmation only unwillingly...a boyhood friend claimed after Hitler left home he never again attended Mass or received sacraments"

"[Hitler's] statements present a conflicting picture...somewhat spiritual yet against organized religion"

No Jew hater can be a Christian, by definition

    D for effort though

  • @thestarfish6393 The swastika is derived from Hinduism and is a symbol which represents power. It's really easy to make fun of Christianity - you don't have to make stuff up to strengthen your position.

  • @carlosperdue Why christians are so pathetic? Christians always pray to god because they are weak and they are afraid of death.

  • @carlosperdue Are atheists the ones trying to block gay marriage? No. We don't go door to door preaching atheism. btw if you;re a Christian then all other religions disagree with you.

  • My favorite part is the ONE woman or man who is a full octave HIGHER than everyone else... So beautiful.

  • This is what I do every Christmas O.o

  • I love it

  • that is the one thing i dont like about second city they bash christians all the time..not all of us are like rick perry so we dont deserve getting bashed..just like i dont like getting bashed for being gay i dont like getting bashed for beliving in god wrong is wrong no matter what if you dont belive fine but dont make fun me cause i do

  • @narutolove12 you have imaginary friends, or imaginary in our eyes, so it is pretty funny to us to believe in Sky-Daddy.

  • @TheDoctorWholigan and? even if hes not real its my choice to belive just like you have the choice not to .i dont care if you belive but you have no right to make fun of me for it just like i dont have the right to make fun of you for your choice. It called respect

  • @narutolove12 umm i can make fun of anything its called social commentary, comedians do this all the time in the right atmosphere

  • @TheDoctorWholigan i know however second city does it all the time which makes it seem like if your christian your dumb and stupid and dont belong with the rest of us. While making jokes is fine but when the only thing you target most of the time is that group thats unfair no matter what the atmosphere..all im saying is they can lay off it once and awhile.

  • and now we can go back to being heathens

  • that was disturbingly beautiful

  • < Currently transforming back into a heathen.

  • LOL. Got a good hearty laugh from this.

  • /watch?v=98dp_-o6QpU&feature=g-u&context=G236c79eFUAAAAHgAaAA i recommend this video. though agnostic makes more sense than atheism.

  • CHEMTRAILS 2012!

  • So what the F*(@ is with the main singer's forehead? He get hit in the face by some Mormon they visited earlier?

  • Haha, the christian's war on heathenic traditions should not take place anymore ;). Until the 1850s America held christmas as a heathen tradition and didn't celebrate it like today, and indeed it is. 25th december was the day of sol invictus celebration and was being taken over as "jesus birthday", just as the presents exchange, that was already present in the saturnalia in roman times.

  • The way Atheists treat Religious folk in things like these is why i dislike them as much as i do similar religious folk.

  • You guys are taking this war against religion a little too far. :(

  • @blukinoseXD em what war on religion? all i see is a war on ignorance

  • @jatime1990 If by ignorance you mean the people who are close minded to the beliefs of other people then yes. You know you atheists are always blaming us Christians for being close minded and ignorant but it's times like this when really it’s the other way around. Also for the record, I don’t flame people for their beliefs and I do think some Christians need to be less ignorant. I will, however, not stand by and have people make fun of my faith! I’m an open minded Catholic and proud of it!

  • @blukinoseXD Your religion is not off limits, you know. It's subject to criticism, just like any other opinion, and shit there is A LOT to criticise. I am confused though, you're open minded AND you don't think people should be allowed to make fun of religion? You even said this video was the war on religion ahaahaha. A fucking war... on the people who(currently) make up the majority in the US, right, and because jokes constitute wars now. SHIT that's so open minded of you

  • @hamneggwich Yes OPINIONS are subjected to criticism but religions are not opinions! They are morals and values! Sure believing in a divine being or beings is what most religions are about, but the heart of all religions are the moral and values that come with it. When people make fun of religion they are disrespecting beliefs and values not opinions. And yes, I am open minded; all of my friends are either Atheist or Buddhist, and I respect their beliefs because they respect mine!

  • @blukinoseXD Religions -are- opinions, dont be ridiculous. The bible is filled with horrible things like genocide, commanded by god. The morals that you attribute to your religion are modern morals, values that have progressed far past the barbaric shit in the bible. The fact that most xtian beliefs have changed(like, stoning rape victims) show that they are, yes, opinions. You throw around the word "respect" a lot, yet I don't think you realise that respect is earned, not automatic

  • @hamneggwich Yeah the Old Testament is like that, but most Churches follow the New Testament of the bible. Many biblical scholars are even starting to believe that the book of genesis was metaphorical not literal, so they are trying to find hidden meanings in it. You know I had you pegged as a troll but you are a good very debater, most people are gone after one of my rants. xD I still see how religion can fit into opinion but I feel it's so much more than that for me.

  • @blukinoseXD Jesus said he came to uphold old laws, but moderate leaning churches don't listen to that part. It's often very cherry picked(they need to fire the continuity guy).

I'm a secular humanist, ethics matter to me. I recognise the good that comes with religion but it doesn't cancel out the mountains of bad. Modern theocracies highlight these issues, we're lucky we live in places where religion progressed with secular society. Thanks for not relegating me to troll status cx

  • @blukinoseXD it's alot of part in the new testament that tells people to kill people who are not christians and many more

  • @blukinoseXD By the way, I think you'll find that most religious people will say that their gods are the hearts of their religions :/

But hey, people have different religious opinions, don't they. I guess thats why there are tens of thousands of christian denominations, all claiming to know the "one true way", in the USA alone...

  • @hamneggwich Yes respect is earned but it's hard to earn respect if the media emphasizes the scandals in the Church and not the good deeds Churches do. Plus I do believe some respect should be automatic, if people went around with no respect at all for anyone then that would be awful. Also I'm not from the US, I'm from Canada. I don't know what people are being taught in the Churches down there, but we are taught that a life through God is a moral guide to live a happy and healthy life.

  • @blukinoseXD It's not even the scandals, though, (apart from the whole lot not being real thing) some of the most fundamental religious teachings are immoral. The concept of original sin always disgusted me, and we know Adam and Eve never happened, yet the RCC can stand back and say "oh its a metaphor" while at the same time "but all of us are still sinners by default!". That just ain't healthy. The concept of hell is another, but you get what I mean.

  • @blukinoseXD As for a moral guide, and ignoring the immoral religious teachings(which moderate christians do, I gather), I dont accept that belief in a god is necessary to grant that to us. Utilising our own senses of empathy(we're a social primate - it's evolution, baby) and putting laws in place works just fine. We don't need a god telling us murder is wrong to work this out, (some of)the people who wrote the bible already knew this thousands of years ago, lol.

  • @hamneggwich Strongly AGREE! I heard an interesting voice on NPR saying that there is no morality in religion. There is bait (heaven) or fear (hell), neither of which is basis for personal choice based on moral standards.

  • @CanTake8 Lol yep, some theists assert that we have "free will", but there's only one "right" way to use it apparently, heh.

We can refer to the Euthyphro dilemma, "Is the pious loved by the gods because it is pious, or is it pious because it is loved by the god". The frikken Greeks had this issue highlighted before Christ had even been written about(by Greeks, humourously enough, despite neither Jesus or his deciples having the ability to understand Greek, yay history :D)

  • that was really not nice at all, congratulations for ruin christmas, of course I respect the other religions, but you didnt need to play with christmas and God this way, at least have some respect, that would be great.

  • @166deh If you respect those who don't agree with your beliefs, maybe they'll give you respect back. Try it.

  • @profloubere sure :) i do respect them all, but I just dont thinks that this video respected christmas, by making fun of it. But I do respect the others, I was just making my comment on what I think about this video :)

  • @166deh Respect for what? Imaginary creatures? Or your childish fee fees?

  • @hamneggwich sure, the one who said "If you respect those who don't agree with your beliefs, maybe they'll give you respect back", is now going against of what yourself said. I was just making a comment to the ones who made this video.

  • But of course some of us do believe.

  • To the person who responded to my comment...

What happened to religious tolerance? What happened to a SOH?

Wow....don't like your definition of religion at all if you have to be stuffed up to join.

  • Awwwww...SOME!

  • Love this!

  • Maybe Hitchens is in hell angry he was wrong, or God gave him his wish: dead forever. Atheism's a religion & atheists are the most fanatical, intolerant bunch of classless twerps in the modern world other than Jihadis. Guys like Woody Allen & Larry David can't stand it if someone isn't a twisty Hollyweird sex perv; their mission in life is to corrupt everything wholesome, bring everyone into their sickness, destroy faith & hope. What a sad sack of gratuitously smug, poopy-mouth low-life idiots

  • @carlosperdue Wow, you don't know how to live in reality!!!!

  • @yorkiegolfer What reality is that?

  • Comment removed

  • @cassinidivisionencke How do we judge what is right and wrong? Does it come from scraps of manuscript considered to be sacred and inspired of God, or does it evolve from our social instincts? The God of the Old Testament lacks your live and let live attitude. He ordered the slaughter of men and raping of women of neighbouring tribes. Such genocide revolts us today. Where does that revulsion come from, from us, or from a God that would demand such atrocities?

    Complicity is implicit in Faith.

  • Lip syncing is way off.

  • Ain't this the truth.

  • LOL Love the look on their faces. Well done fellow heathens!!!

  • @cassinidivisionencke LOL if were on FB they would have already suspended ur posting privileges for two days

  • That was Fucking fantastic!

  • This is the lamest cop-out I've ever seen. Miliant atheism is paving the way for you to make snarky videos like this one. The "live and let live" crowd is just using what they call "being nice" to avoid confrontation and let other people do the hard work of making atheists equal citizens in the US and around the globe. Grow up, grow a pair, and stop hiding religious apology behind the thin veil of your supposed atheism.

  • Hahaha

  • I just celebrate Christmas as a family thing and not a religious thing, but every year my grandma doesn't want to get my gifts because I'm an atheist. It's not like I try to fight her or tell her her beliefs are wrong I just want to spend a nice holiday with my family.

  • "is this a church group?" "kinda" LOL this is awesome

  • Ha! I didn't even pretend to believe God is real. These folks are very nice.

  • so fucking accurate

  • Umm wow? Maybe it's just me but I think that if you don't believe in something you shouldn't celebrate it at all

  • @fannabelle101 we can celebrate our humanity and the spirit of giving and compassion - which afterall, is what Christmas is all about

  • @maggiesguardian Christmas is about Christ

  • @fannabelle101 Maybe for you. But for me it's about family and friends.

  • @fannabelle101 "Christmas is about Christ"... as Thursday is about Thor?

  • My friends and I are going to go door to door and sing this :P

  • All I'll say is I believe in god. The rest seems far fetched. Still like this song. HORAH!!

  • Lol sing along Dawkins was my favourite :D He had to appear on the shrill lines, of course. He's ~sooo~ militant.

    Enjoy today, everyone!

  • smart! lol

  • That was amazing! That just made my holiday complete.

  • Funniest thing you've done in some time. Thanks!

  • Yay! Second City Network actually made something funny! It's been a while.

  • Uncencored version, GO!

  • This makes me laugh...

  • ...and we'll all go back to being heathens.

  • lol

  • Ha ha this is hilarious!

  • The bearded guy in white looks like a priest.

  • can't say I'm a fan of this one....

  • hahaha that was so condescending

  • I celebrate this time of year because there are traditions older than Christmas that are still celebrated. As Pagans say the solstice is the reason for the season. That's how I put it into perspective.

  • It's Christmas....why is everyone arguing.

  • @titsforhits Why are we arguing at Christmas, you ask? Because it provokes some of the most important questions human beings can ask themselves and each other. And whichever side we are on, on the side of faith or on the side of reason, if we are decent human beings we can still respect each other care about each other and wish each other health, happiness and freedom as I do to you.

  • Nice one zionists. Keep destroying christianity. We got no religion anyway right goyim?

  • @SpraYeRS77

jesus was a jew, moron, as were all of his followers. until christianity moved into europe and forgot that jesus preached against greed, taught non-violence, taught communal living, welcoming the ostracized members of society, and not being so fanatical about following laws that ethics and social responsibility get thrown out the window. what does zionism have to do with this? before you get into some racist tirade about jews take a moment to recall that you worship a jewish guy.

  • @lamaddussa You stupid imbecile. Check out wiki and find that jesus who's real name

isn't even jesus was infact aramaic and spoke aramaic and lived in nazareth not bethlehem like you probably think thanks to your zionist brain washing. You prove beyond a doubt how retarded you are. Keep sucking that zionist wiener retard.

  • Gods and religions don't kill people.

People who love killing people kill people.

  • @cassinidivisionencke Obviously you do not know the original meaning of halloween which is a celebration of the Saints. Just because it is not an all out media attack on it does not mean it is not an attack or that people who are religious are offended by it. Unreligious people constantly complain about the religious shoving it down your throats. What you don't realize is you are being hypocrites and in the most subtle of ways, unreligious beliefs are being shoved down ours everyday.

  • I hate atheists/agnostics who don't celebrate Xmas. They're so shitty.

  • @matt036 How fucking "Christian" of you !!! Blatant hypocrisy.

  • @Tompv1 What made you think I was christian? I don't believe in anything to do with any part of religion. I couldn't give two fucks about religion. I just don't see the point in being so boring and not taking advantage of the holiday where you sit with your friends with hot chocolate and cheesy, badly wrapped presents.

  • @matt036 Lol, obviously us atheists don't have any friends or family, we don't go and visit and have dinner together or exchange gifts. We must sit alone staring at the wall thinking about noooothing. Shit as if that's the only other option! Haha what toss.

I don't celebrate christmas, but I DO celebrate AT the same time of year, as do many atheists. Our close relationships mean something to us, they are real. We just ignore the whole Jesus myth as it's irrelevant, why is that bad?

  • @cassinidivisionencke I'm not going to respect something that is so fundamentally stupid to begin with, and is keeping the human race from advancing to its true potential. I respect people who believe in god, sure (I don't call them stupid or go out of my way to insult them), but I wont respect their god, and I'm not afraid of calling them out on their belief system when it's illogical and just plain evil.

  • @cassinidivisionencke I'm an atheist too, and I know it seems hypocritical of me, but I honestly can't just stand by and "respect" a belief system that is denying equal marriage rights to gays and lesbian, denying women the right to decide what they can or cant do with their own bodies, getting children killed in Africa because they're "witches", oppressing 50% of the middle eastern population, and just bringing grief to millions around the world in general.

  • @cassinidivisionencke sorry i will not respect if someone sead im osama binlardins rencarnation i wodent respect it long story short i will not respect bullshit ( but i take a carm talkitiv satnce on relgius people and rip the shit out of the dogma the people deserve my respect the dogma dose not >^.^< )

  • I'm not pretending shit

  • Rofl. Always delivering.

  • Well, as man still believes in bronze-age mythology & fantasy in the nuclear age, "believers" are putting into power these same fanatics. So, we must address their false beliefs at every chance we can, even if for "only" to our survival as a species. Besides, the video was in good fun (while making a necessary point).

  • @cassinidivisionencke how is this condescending?

No one is being forced to watch this video. When JWs, Mormons, etc come to my door to proselytize me, I simply say "no thank you" and shut the door.

  • @cassinidivisionencke "atheists shouldn't shove our beliefs in anyone else's face" And just what are the "beliefs" of atheists? It's time my friend to call stupid stupid, do it while you have a chance, many free thinkers in the past were not so lucky.

  • @cassinidivisionencke Touche, another great point. It boils down to a question of Free Will. Though all of our actions are ultimately caused by nature and nurture beyond our control, society functions by acting as if we have free will, as we become a point in the causal chain at which positive change can be affected. As Christopher Hitchens said ironically, he believes in Free Will because he doesn't have a choice!

  • @cassinidivisionencke

i've seen theories suggesting either. i've only glanced at them superficially but i had the impression that fall was more accepted...

  • lol why is everyone making this so political? it's a joke and it's funny.

  • Love it! one can say it is being disrespectful but I think it is also disrespectful when people think I am less than them and send me to an eternal fiery pit because of their delirious beliefs. Its time atheists stand up for what the believe because one day we might end all the hate that religion created. Which is a lot; because most hate comes from a deep seeded belief.

  • @georginac69 nice, until "deep seeded". You need to read more, talk less.

  • So atheists want a reason to justify them having Christmas without believing in it?? ... Relax Im taking the proverbial :)

  • There's some truth in this! So funny... As soon as the guy said "Kinda!" I knew it was gonna be bad, lol.

I know a few atheists, and they're a lot more vocal about it than Christians sometimes. The mere MENTION of God pisses some off. That's not respectful of others' beliefs at all. I have friends of different beliefs-- I'm not a devout Christian either-- but geez, at least I hear everyone out, and they know where I stand.

Listening, empathy, and humor are the keys to understanding one another.

  • @MsDenouement Please forgive those of us with a chip on our shoulder. The aggressive dominance of religion in what should be secular society makes us feel heavily discriminated against. Sometimes we also become impatient with circular arguments which have invalid premises and we feel that if people would desist from reiterating them and join us in examining what underpins them we could save each other lots of time and trouble. I totally agree with what you say about listening empathy and humour.

  • @TheJD1284 Thanks for that, TheJD1284. I believe that there are some things you gotta just let people believe what they want. I don't try and convince anyone that what they believe in (or not) is wrong, because who's to say I'm right? Same goes for atheists. That's why so many people can get along with me. I know the different beliefs out there, and they all have good points to make. Done, and done. lol

I hope all of you have a happy few days off at least, if not a happy holiday! :D

  • @MsDenouement Thanks, same to you. It is nice to get along but sometimes I think it is a good thing to try to convince people that they are wrong. If someone believed they should be able to enslave people (a practice the bible supports) I would feel bad if I didn't try to dissuade them. If someone wanted to stone a woman to death because she refused to marry a man that raped her (which the bible also condones) I would feel complicit if I held my tongue.

  • @TheJD1284 Ehhh, now you're talking about stuff that hurts/kills others. If anyone I knew was saying people should be put to death or gonna burn in Hell for their beliefs, then I would definitely put them in their place/call the authorities and never associate with them again, lol. I agree with standing up to obvious bullying, though.

  • First of all, this video is. a. joke. Everyone needs to relax. The comments on the other hand are really upsetting.

Secondly, if you don't believe in CHRIST and don't go to Mass on CHRISTmas eve/day, you shouldn't be celebrating CHRISTmas. It's just wrong.

Thirdly, not all atheists are going straight to Hell, only those who have seen the Truth and chosen whole-heartedly to reject it :( My heart aches for them.

God Bless all of you, and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

  • @ChelsRae92 Wednesday is named after the god Odin but we don't worship that. Thursday is named after the god Thor but we don't worship that. Christmas is just what this holiday season is called, and we atheists would like to join in with the positive and enjoyable aspects with it. Happy Christlessnessmas!

  • @ChelsRae92 God doesn't exist :Y Grow up

  • @hamneggwich Really? You're the top comment?

  • @ycsdramaqueen Gonna cry to your sky daddy over it? c: lol I didn 't even know it was top rated 'til you pointed it out, so thank you, it's nice to know there are some intelligent people around YT.

  • @hamneggwich If GOD doesn't exist, who helped Tebow win games (until he started losing), who allowed a babysitter to chop up a little child to test our faith, and who is allowing millions on one planet to starve while blessing Americans (even athiests, agnostics and Catholics)?

  • @CanTake8 Heheheehe :D

  • @cassinidivisionencke I believe default respect is a good idea but I think we definitely should not respect everyone. I do not respect people who do evil under the cloak of religious delusion and deception.

  • Perfect. More true than condescending.

  • @cassinidivisionencke Respect the people, not the beliefs. I don't think this video is condescending to the individuals, but more towards the beliefs.

  • @cassinidivisionencke @Bystronicman08 you guys realize this is a comedy video right?

  • To those who find this offensive, consider how non-Christians feel when told repeatedly they should rejoice because a "saviour" is born. When atheists attack religion, all they are saying is they think you're wrong. When a Christian says rejoice a savior is born - they are essentially saying we should celebrate the birth of a human sacrifice, required because we're "sinful". Yeah, that's not offensive at all, it's jolly.

  • @apostatexp

i'm not from a christian background & when i was first exposed to the beliefs i was shocked by their sadomasochistic nature. let's see, a parent believes they must torture & murder their child in order to benefit others. huh? of course it's worth understanding that this religion emerged from a cultural which practiced animal sacrifice to appease their deity, and it then spread to some pagan cultures that apparently had fertility rituals of male human sacrifice / symbolic sacrifice.

  • now do something for islam, please. fllowed by judaism.

  • Funny, I never pretend to pray, I always keep my eyes open and look around to see who else finds it as weird as I do.

  • @extrovertedthinker The last time I went to church - about three years ago, for a family christening - i looked around while heads were bowed in prayer, and about half the congregation were keeping their heads up with me.

  • yes!!! Saturnalia win!!

  • I never knew "Bemused" is word.

  • crass.

  • So laugh damn it!!

  • Scientists say laughter is good for the body. Some Christians say it is good for the soul. Somewhere in there we should really be able to get along.

  • Brilliant!

  • it's funny how people are saying that this is attacking religion, when it's really just atheists saying they'll put their beliefs away as long as the others do too just to have a good time during the holidays. kinda passive-aggresive at parts, but it's not a big deal.

  • @pkmn7777777 Why are atheists celebrating Christmas at all if they don't believe in it technically? I found it slightly offensive. It was attacking religion. They say that believing in God is naive and that prayer is pointless. That is a blatant attack on religion. They also call pretty much all religious belief bullshit. And how is that not attacking religion?
