  • @Patrickf1916 - Not so sure the people of Ireland are that thankful to the head of the world's largest paedophile ring and the abuse which he brought upon their children. As for the Prods...well, the Provies give it their best shot, but came up well short! The romantic notion of nationalist Ireland is now but a pipe dream. God Save the Queen...and may we be thankful to live under her freedoms & democracy, and not part of the economic & social basket case that is the Republic of Ireland. :)

  • for pope and ireland ya prod cunts

  • 1st world war was the greatest pointless waste of life ever unleashed upon mankind. It spawned hitler and gave us the disaster of the 20th century.

  • Love Ciaran

  • 1 million British Empire troops died to stop Germany from taking over Europe and establishing a Wilhelmine dictatorship. Mission accomplshed.

    tracesofevil

  • How many thousand did the IRA kill?? Self rightious scumbag

  • @loyalprd How many millions did the fucking brits murder and are still murdering?

  • Say what you like about IRA violence but there was never a battle in which republicans were involved in that resulted in tens of thousands being killed. Pity the Brits or the Free Staters cannot say that in reference to their own military records.

  • @Bepold

Your right, the IRA done their fightin hiding behind ditches, and leaving bombs. War is different than a terrorist campaign, how can you compare the two?

  • @loyalprd "the IRA done their fightin hiding behind ditches, and leaving bombs" Did the Brits not fight in trenches in WWI? What's the difference between a trench and a ditch? Did the Brits not leave bombs at enemy targets in WWII? I'm the self righteous scumbag? Coming from a UVF supporter! There is a difference between war and terrorism. The IRA went for military targets. The Brits and UVF didn't. OK the IRA killed too many innocents but are you telling me the Brits and UVF didn't?

  • @TheSurrealityTest learn to spell u dirty manky orange bastard tiocfaidh ar la

  • @HaremKnight You're a fool. Stay out of our politics you Yankie Unionist scumbag

  • WELL THE BRITS DIDNT REALLY CHOOSE THERE TARGETS LIKE DID THEY WHEN THEY MURDERED BRIAN STEWARD IN TURF LODGE 13 YRS OLD JULIE ANN LIVINGSTONE 13 AND MANY MANY OTHER KIDS

  • The Irish seem to very proud of such attitudes to the point of blowing up a bunch of veteran pensioners back in the 80's. It just makes me sick.

I am not Irish or British. I am an American from Eastern Europe. I don't have any tie to the conflict but the more I listen to such songs, the more favorable I am to the Unionists.

  • @lipovan87

fuck ye then. you dont matter

  • @lipovan87 good man...glad to see people can see through this putrid terrorist propaganda!

  • @oz1641 seeing through propanganda is one thing, but picking a side in a fight that he has no real connection to is another. The IRA did kill many civilians but so did the loyalist paramilitaries. Loyalists actually started killing and intimidating innocent people in the mid 60s before the PIRA had even formed. If violence disturbs him so much he shouldnt really be picking sides at all

  • @thecraighi

What is so morally shocking is that there was no reason to kill the pensioners. I can understand the intimidation factor of killing a politician or activist. The pensioners weren't leading a political struggle, they weren't smuggling arms. They were just proud of their service and were murdered for it. I can understand clandestine warfare, I cannot understand why the IRA would choose to do such a thing for any reason other than sadism and hatred of veterans.

  • @lipovan87 your right the enniskillen bombing was horrific and morally objectionable regardless of your political affiliation It was condemned by everybody even the vast majoirty of IRA leaders and hardline republicans. What im finding hard to understand is why you would side with one group of murderers just because you found a paritcular act by the other to be morally shocking. Did you not find the ballymurphy massacre, bloody sunday, the dublin and monaghan bombings 1974 etc morally shocking?

  • @thecraighi While the loss of life in the confusion of 1920 was terrible, it was not a deliberate plan to kill pensioners. It was a confused reaction by panicky personnel who thought they were about to be attacked. You are correct that the Dublin & Moaghen bombings were acts of evil. My view is not only based on NI but also the Balkans. The Unionists condemned to actions of the Croats while the IRA praised them. Given the evils they did (ask the Canadians), I find the Unionists more humane.

  • @lipovan87 i ment bloody sunday 1972 not 1920, but the fact that their have been numerous occassions that the british army slaughtered civilians in my country speaks volumes. The british army/government are probably guilty of more acts of inhumanity than the loyalist groups and the ira/inla put together.

  • @lipovan87 Also you say that you find the Unionists more humane, because the IRA targetted civilians (pensioners in the case of the remembrance day bombings) but the loyalist paramilitaries targetted civilians almost entirely. Starting with UVF in the 60s who killed civilians before the Provos had formed right up the the LVF in the late 90s and early 2000s who abducted, tortured, set on fire and killed catholics/irish people. They shot women, killed community workers and set fire to churches

  • @lipovan87 You say Unionists were more humane? They haboured scum like michae stone, billy wright ,johnny adair, not to mention the links with KKK members, combat 18 and othe hategroups? I understand condemnation of the IRA but you have to understand the Provos are a product of violence.

  • @lipovan87 i wonder how many innocent people britain and america have killed through the years in the name of WAR

  • @kilwinninglad08

Probably proportionately less than have been killed than would have been had the tyrants they were fighting won. Also probably proportionately less than the internecine warfare among the Irish factions each trying to resurrect the power of the High King. Peace is not won by singing songs and disparaging the brave, it is won by calmly trying to live and fighting sadistic murderers who would prevent it.

  • These anti war songs are usually sung by republican sympathisers who have their hands soaked in the blood of the Northern Irish people protestant and catholic alike. The singer of this song whoever he is wouldnt be fit to lace the boots of the heroes of our armed forces.

  • as much as i disagree with the sentiments put across in this trashy song,it is ciarans right to sing it & anything else he so chooses,a right that was won in the blood of those who stood up to the kaiser & his huns, hitler & his nazis & in later years facist republicans on the streets of our province,so sing on ciaran safe in the knowledge that your fundamental rights will be upheld by those noble & gallant men who choose to serve queen & country.

  • Northern Ireland is Not a Province... 'Ulster' Is a Province! "The Kaiser and the Huns"..... Which Huns would those be.... The 'German Huns' or those in Buckingham Palace.... oh indeed Cousin Willie! [Wilhelm11] the Dysfunctional first cousin of King George V of the house hold of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha [later called The House of Windsor!] ......funny people Germans.....

  • @waynefd what trash...oh that trash about protectin our fundamental rights mate....your right cos the iraqi oil is a fundamental right of mines....and dont be fool WW1 was just as much an imperialistic war are afgan, iraq, palastine, ireland, mexico, cube...i can add a whole lot more to that list if you want....wars arent fought for fundamental or human rights, their fought for land and resources...open your eyes amigo you might learn something

  • Can't support the overall sentiment, but good to see acknowledgment of bravery in a real war.

  • Quote....."Betray your Country serve your Class don't sign up for War my friend!." .....[John McClean Lecturing to a gathering of workers during...... 'Anti Conscription' Rally.... 1914 Glasgow

  • And that is Newry, Down, IRELAND

  • Forkhill is NOT in Co. Down. - Forkhill is in South Armagh. - Most of Newry town is in South Down but the west part of Newry is in SOUTH ARMAGH

  • This song is worded so well.

    This man knows his stuff!

  • Does anyone know if he's Northern Irish, if he supports the thought of a united Ireland or if he's impartial?

  • listen to a few of his songs a chara....

  • He's from Forkhill, Co. Down in the north of Ireland, and he supports a 32 county Socialist republic.
